Atlantic Kempinski Hotel Hamburg was built in 1909. The Atlantic Kempinski hotel Hamburg was a focus in the James Bond film `Tomorrow never dies` with Pierce Bosnan.
The large, impressive lobby features tapestries on the walls, marble pillars and an open fire in the seating area, above which there is a large tiled portrait, which again is framed in marble. The black leather furniture was especially commissioned for the hotel. The hotel is a magnificent, traditional, grand, white building with a green copper roof. The entrance is on a side street, off the busy lake road and is fronted by 2 white columns.
