The City Garden is a nice budget hotel. The suites are obviously renovated. The size of the rooms are spacious compared to other hotels of the same rate. The bathroom is small but clean. The hotel is situated at a nice location with the fortress hill MTR station about a 5 minutes walk away and several small eateries, convenient stores, and boutiques close by. Getting to the hotel was a breeze. Just take the A11 airport bus. For HK$40 per person you get a relaxing 45 minute ride to Hong Kong island. The A11 bus stops just adjacent to the hotel’s main entrance. I went to Hong Kong with my wife and 2 kids. We wanted to stay in 1 room so we booked a Triple room because the hotel considers 2 kids equivalent to an adult. Check-In was easy. Just present the printed Asiaroom voucher, your Passport, and a HK$500 deposit and you’re all set. The staff are all polite and helpful. Our request for additional Pillows and Towels were carried out promptly. Overall, We had a comfortable 4 night stay at the City Garden. I would definitely stay at the City Garden again in the future and would also recommend to everyone to use Asiaroom’s top-notch services. Thanks.

| "I basically chose this hotel because of the location. the room overall look is okay, since it is newly renovated. As with any other hongkong hotel, the lobby and rooms are quite small. The room is clean and staff are helpful. " |

| "On arrival at 2300 local we were allocated a room on the 3rd floor above the swimming pool. The room was a smoking room and had twin beds. The decor was (to say the least ) tired and the room smelt of smoke. We had booked a non smoking room with a queen size bed.
I complained and only after presenting our booking details they agreed to change the room to a non smoking room but still with twin beds. We were too tired to argue further and accepted the up-graded room on the 25th floor instead of the standard one we had booked. As the hotel was aware that we would be checking in late I do not consider this is and acceptable level of service.
My opinions are based on the excutive room and not the standard room. Also they had not informed us that they had work in progress on the 7 and 8 floor (for renovation), as they had our friends who had booked through trail finders." |
