"The location is good, about 10 mins walk to MTR station. Room is ok, but the air con is very noisy"

"The hotel room size is spacious, relative to Hong Kong’s standards. If one does not mind the noise and crowd from the wet market, it is a reasonable choice considering the proximity to the heart of shopping area (Causeway Bay). It is within reach in 10 minutes via train or 20 minutes via the tram system. However, some minor drawbacks are prevalent. One should not expect any staff to open the hotel doors at the main (and only) entrance for you, even if it is obvious that your hands are full. Also, the amenities are bare; only one roll of toilet paper is given everyday for a room with three hotel guests, with no extra rolls provided. In addition, one needs to take caution when walking back after dark, as the surroundings are unusually quiet, with various dimly lit alleys. Other than that, the stay was satisfactory for families and individuals alike. "

"Was very impressed with the size of the room given to my family of 2 adults and one kid. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable for the 3 of us. The location is also very convenient as many buses runs along the two roads parallel to the hotel and the MTR station is nearby. For this trip wherever I went I seem to be able to find a direct bus back to Kings road and from there it is only 5 mins walk back to the hotel. The only drawback is everytime we come out of the lift in the morning we will be greeted with a fishy smell from the market and sometimes the road and pavement leading to the hotel is wet. Would be good if the hotel can provide separate container containing shampoo. As it is there is only one container in the bathroom so i have to assume it is for head to toe wash. Overall I am very pleased with the facilities and location. The staff are also friendly and helpful."

"Hotel is located a very short walk from the local "North Point MTR". The street outside the hotel has a tramway running along it which is quite a nice thing to see if you are from a city/country which does not have these. The street is also used as a busy market selling clothing, fresh meats, fresh fish and vegetables every day of the week. The Hotel has an area on the first floor set aside for the "Newton Club" which looks to be a bar/restaurant but this was never in use during my 2 week stay. The swimming pool was unavailable for use during my stay and no explanation was given. Within 3 minuets of walking a McDonalds and a KFC can be found for anyone wishing western food. The streets surrounding house lots of bakery’s for breakfast style foods. Lifts are horrible in that they are prioritized for the higher floors and the ground floor meaning waiting times on middle floors can be upwards of 4 minuets. No stairway exists to the ground floor without having to go through the security desk and the hotels administration offices (Fire escape route). The business center is well enough equipped. The desk staff are polite and efficient. AIR CONDITIONING works very well, has multiple fan strength settings and chills down/warms up very quickly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would be spending most of their time away from it during the day such as single tourists, budget holiday makers and business people. I would not recommend this hotel to couples or family’s. If asked if I would stay here again I would say YES, unless my trip was to be such that I would be spending lots of time in my room."

"the location & the rooms are rather good. There is no breakfast at all , but there is a market near the entrance to the hotel, where you can buy all sorts of different bakery, fresh & tasty. There also you can buy sea food & meat , but you have no opportunity to cook it in the hotel (a mini kitchen there in the room but it (still?) doesn't function . the personal is friedly, trying to help. if need."

"Everything at Newton Inn is great for me. Room is great for one or two person. The room/bathroom is above-average size for Hong Kong standards, and they are very clean. The hotel location is very close to the MTR station. I really liked it. It saved me lots of money on taxi. Some people may not like the idea that the open-market is just right at the entrance of the hotel, but for me, it is OK. Nearby restaurants have reasonable price also. "

"lOCATION IS OK HOTEL ROOMS ARE WELL KEPT BUT THE FRONT DESK WAS NOT THAT ENTERTAINING TO US OR MAYBE WE CHECK IN LATE ALREADY AND THEY WERE TIRED...."

"The hotel is located at a typical (chinese food and clothes) market-street with all it's particularities. The tram is also part of the streetlife. Some might find the location unattractive, others will call it authentic. The hotel itself is fairly clean and the rooms are small but comfortable if the hotel is only used to sleep. Transportation facilities are nearby and other parts of Hong Kong are easy to be reached."

"Nice hotel if you are into getting involved in the way the locals live. It's located in a market area, which is quite interesting for me. "
