Hotel Review posted by David Auyeung, United Kingdom in March 2003

This has the looks of a 4-star hotel. With the internet discount offered, it has excellent value for money. It has a good business center, with fax, translation, and secretarial services, but no internet access. I don't think a legitimate business center is complete without internet access.

"The breakfast buffet needs improvement especially the types of food, the toaster is not working properly."

"I stayed at this hotel for the equestrian events at the olympics, so the location was excellent for that, though probably not good if you wanted to be close to HK island or Kowloon. However, for the area it is easy to get around and there is the MTR + New Town Plaza close by, so it is generally convenient. I have stayed in HK before in Kowloon and this hotel had larger rooms, with big windows and a leather couch, the breakfast was excellent and the vietnamese restaurant on street level very good. Try the soft shell crab. Looking at the prices at non olympic times, I think it is great value for money. We got a pretty good price anyway through asia rooms with breakfast included but extra for the airport shuttle. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. The shuttle from the airport is dead easy. You just go to the Regal Hotel desk as you come thru immigration. The pool was being renovated, so is out of action. I would say this hotel is great if you need to be in the territories or go to the races or for business. It's about a half hour on the subway to town."

"We found the hotel to be excellent, the staff extremely helpfull in every way in so much as providing breakfast at 3am on the morning of the Eventing Cross Country Day. The coach to and from the Sha Tin Station was also well received by our party"

"Although its not anywhere near to popular places like Kowloon or Mong Kong, it can be easily accessible by train. The room size is big & the bed is big too for a single person. The buffet breakfast is ok. In general, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel & I will probably stay in this hotel again."
