Well, what can I say... Stayed in the Chung Hing hotel (April 2005) as a Free Easy package from the travel agent. I'm sure this hotel used to be very decent and value for money a few years back. Now it has turned into a haven for mainland Chinese visitors. The room is reasonably clean but it reaks of cigarette smoke, it can very well be a film set from one of Wong Ka Wai's films... It was only upon arrival that we realise there's an infamous night club opposite the hotel (infamous for gang fights). This hotel is the place to be if you are a fan of HK gangster movies, otherwise please please please pay a bit more and stay at somewhere more upmarket, you won't regret it :p

| "From my experience, one of the important things when staying at a hotel is the quality of the service.
What i saw was a receptionist with bad attitude and communication skills.
Other than that, the room was mainly fine and clean excepts for some ants that came to say hello every day and the smell of cigarettes.
To my opinion, the price was much to high for that room.
Pay attention that all your room requirements are not met by the hotel staff and sometimes you have to argue in order to get them (like getting a double bed)." |
