I have stayed at the Dorsett Seaview on average 3 times a year for about 10 years after staying at the Hilton, the Sheraton, etc (all those rooms were very small). Yes the rooms are small, but most hotel rooms in HK are small. The staff is Wonderful, incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is Great--away from the main tourist area , and gives one a much better look into Chinese culture. There is a wonderful small laundry which does your clothes in one day, a grocery store 1 1/2 blocks away, and it is near all the markets. I Highly recommend this hotel. Sincerely, Melinda

| "The lobby manager by the name of Tomy is very friendly and helpful. He always puts on a smile and is very patient in listening to queries and gave very good advice. The reception and cashier counter staff are not as helpful as Tomy. They are rather impatient and not very willing to listen and help.
I might now stay at this hotel again because there isn't any shopping around the area and it's at the corner angle of the road with a lot of very unpleasant people walking around. Besides the nearest MTR station is not that near to the hotel. But if you're a budget traveller then you can consider this hotel." |

| "The room is so small. I feel like staying in a jail room. Probably jail room is also bigger then this.After my luggage fit into the room, me and my wife have no free space to walk and need to cross over the luggage to reach onto the bed. Bed also not comfortable and lighting is bad as well.
With this type of room charges, I think not value for it." |
