again:

Absolutely!
I was stayed on this hotel last February 5 up to February 11, 2007. It was my first time to have a tour in hongkong together with my wife and her family. Well, as per observation or comments to this hotel was this: during our stay, we had not comments on their way to assist their guest, they're intelligent and kind. Only a little noise on that building coz it was under renovation but it okey. The housekeeping was very excellence coz everyday, they cleaned the room, the room is little bit small than the other hotel but it's clean and great for the traveller that have a plan to have a budgeted vacation. It is near in the night market on where you can buy items that lowcost prize, it's only one block ahead from the hotel street. You can buy foods and bring that to your room then you can enjoy your meals inside your room, or you can go out and find restaurant nereby. Maybe, if we have a plan to go back to hongkong again, then i still choose Evergreen Hotel for our accomodation. A warm greetings to the staff and all the employee of this hotel. Hope to see you again. KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!!!!!!!!

"The location is great, its particularly in downtown area, few steps and you can see the stalls for night market. Restaurants are just beside. Staff's are great! thanks"

"Evergreen is a budget hotel that is in a good location, has friendly staff and small but adequate room size. From the airport, I took the train to Kowloon and then HK$20 for a taxi. I paid US$60/night for a single and felt it was a good value, especially for HK. This price included a very good full breakfast. The room furnishings are old but the room was clean. I carried all my valuables with me around HK as there was no room safe and the door lock was only a push button in the handle which provided minimal security. The bathroom was OK but the shower/tub was very small and the shower head needed replacement. The only ventilation in the bath room was a window exhaust fan that pulled the room's limited air conditioning through the bath and out the window. Making sure the fan was off and the door closed was the only way to keep the room cool. When I first arrived, the window fan was on and the room was very warm. Took a couple hours to cool the room. The room air/con could use a boost. The double bed is more like a 1+ 1/2 single bed. My room was at the end of the hallway and facing the back of the hotel so it was quiet. As I was traveling alone and only for one night, Evergreen was OK and worth US$60, no more. If I was staying longer or my wife was with me, I would choose to pay $25+- more and get a nicer hotel. "
