"i feel very comfortable staying at kowloon shangrila, near to go everywhere. huge room if compare to the same rate hotel around. the best room i've stayed in around kowloon."

"Beautiful hotel in a great location with impeccable, friendly service! Loved it!"

"The drain of the sink was not fixed even reporting the clogging."

"One thing I didn't like was the perfume in the main lobby that always hit you after you came off the street. Breakfast was good, as was the italian restaurant on the mezzanine floor."

"Stayed at this hotel in early December. Couple of issues with this hotel. The coffee shop has outrageous prices. A bowl of wonton at US$15! Of course, I did not eat at the coffee shop. The lobby drinks and snacks prices are overpriced as well. My wife had a coffee, I had a beer, and we each order a small smack. Total bill including tip, almost US$40. Second issue, at this room rate you figure you'd get free internet service, nooooooop! I got billed at HK$9 a minute. It's not the money, but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. HK is such a competitive place and there are hotels that offer better value than the Shangri-La, or unless you are a business traveler and spend your company's money without any reservation then this would be a good place for you!"

"The room is very big and nice. We got welcome chinese tea to serve us in our room. Everything is perfect. Except! The location is quite a distance from the shopping area but it is closed to the KCL East Tim Sa Tui station--just 1 mins walks. I found the short cut on the last day. Definiately!! Go back there again... it's worth to stay in this hotel. Jo"

"At the recommendation of a prior reviewer I splurged on a harbor view view room---very expensive but worth it. Seeing the ship and ferry traffic made me realize how vibrant Hong Kong is. Lobby area particularly nice---very warm and inviting, unlike other hotels (I stayed at Grand Hyatt). Good to see families. Lots of distracting construction nearby but that is Hong Kong and tolerable. Service impeccable! "

"Would recommend paying the extra for a deluxe harbour view room - perfect view across the water with full length window. Good location next to KCR station. Swimming pool very small."

"Yes,I will recommend to friends, even in a stressfully city you can find an hotel to repose for the night."

"No problem about recommending this hotel."
