My family & I were in HK during the last week of Dec 2007. I was very pleased with Langham and was rather surprised that it was "unexpectedly" good. This is because after confirming the rooms with Langham, we saw someone posted very negative report on Langham, stating how small, how noisy etc the rooms are. Also, if you hear your friends say that most of HK hotels are very small or "just enough to put the bed for u to sleep etc."...I can assure you that Langham Hotel is big enough to satisfy you. Btw, we had adjoining rooms, so I m not sure if adjoining rooms and other rooms are the same, you can check it out first with the hotel.
Other plus points, services were prompt and people (those working there) were genuine and nice. The bathroom is big which have a bathtub & shower point (separate) which is good for travellers w children. PLUS, I give a 5 star to e bathroom itself --> so...Honeymooners, you should go & check it out yourselves!!.
Book the hotel early and get good rates, the rates I got were very good. U could actually get many times cheaper at peak season if u book early.

| "the rooms specified in this website are the basic rooms. This means the old un refurbished rooms. they are nothing compared to their new rooms which have beautiful bathrooms, nice flat scre tv's andmodern firnishings. the rooms here remind me of old hotel rooms in thailand. beige, heavy, old marble... for the price, i'd rather stay and Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel even if the staff their is really rude and unprofessional, they have nicer newer rooms.
i like the convenient location of the area nd the personal care the staff gave us though. much better than most hotels ive stayed in. my suggestion, if there are only two of you to a room, upgrade to the newer rooms and pay Hk 400.00 more per night. the experience may be muchj better" |

| "Not in a good position, Best feature is the Deli. Poor TV set and very few cable chanels, no movie channel. Room smelt and windows bo not open. Very noisy. Do not recomend have stayed at many better hotels in Hong Kong at lower prices." |

| "Very beautiful lobby, rooms don't quite compare, but still very nice & comfortable size by Hong Kong standards.
Extremely convenient location, located at an MTR station and in the centre in the main shopping area of Tsim Sha Tsui. Only a short walk to the harbour.
Nice hotel, great location. But nothing was really outstanding about it considering the price. Might try something else next time as Hong Kong is so big and has so much to choose from!" |
