| "Feel that the hotel is overstated. The room is what one would expect of a 5 stars hotel but nothing exceptional. Had a very bad experience when we wanted to have tea at the lobby lounge. The guest relations told us when we checked in that they gave priority to guests staying at the hotel but when we approached the service staff to tell him we were staying there and wanted a table for tea, he said " all those queuing are staying here", without even bothering to check. Earlier, we also saw another guest wallking off, shaking his head.
Upon checking into the room, we also found a used contact len in the toilet and a strand of long hair at the bath tub. This housekeeping standard is certainly what we would expect of Peninsula Hotel. So it was a dissapointing experience for us, considering the price we paid for the room." |

| "The first disappointment.
I must have contact their Front desk often just for changing the room to Non-Smoking.
When the smoking room was assigned, I asked them to check the availability even from the 2nd night, but they told me that I must come again. Regarding to the request of the room deodorization, they told that I must call to the House Keeper next morning before I walked out.
On the 2nd day, they offerred a non smoking double room, but we were brought to the wrong room. We must change room twice.
Managing the Client such requests must be one of the standard customer services for more than 4 stars hotel.
The second disappointment. The breakfast was a buffet style. But the service were nice enough. I missed the calm and gentle breakfast time before.
In Spite of the above minus points, I may come again if no attractive change were made in other hotels.

| "This was a lovely hotel and the service at the airport that called ahead to ensure our room was ready was a bonus. The staff were universally wonderful on all fronts, teh gym was great, and we had a great meal at Gaddi's.
I would have preferred through Asia rooms to be able to organise and pay for an early check in; as it was we had to buy another whole night for just a few hours the next day. Many hotels do a half price or discounted rate for this service (and some do not charge at all). Can you look into this please?" |

| "Being already one of the best hotels in the world, I'm sure there's not that much I can add to any review except to say that it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Sure it's not easy on the pocket, but when you can only do some things once, if you have the chance, do it right.
We had a suite that was very nice - elegant decor, great bathroom, huge and comfortable bed, ample reception area, huge closet and storage room. Two flatscreen plasmas, piped ambient music and control panel for the room equipment.
Staff were excellent - extremely helpful with a friendly and courteous manner.
Hotel interior is stunning, with no expense spared in the interior design.
...and then there's the fleet of Rolls Royce Phantoms out front that can be hired...
If we ever go back to Hong Kong to stay in the City, we'll stay there - we'd just be wasting a trip and money wishing we were back there if we didn't ." |
