Great hotel for price considering all that I hear about very small rooms in HK. We booked a standard room and when checking in we asked for a nicer view if possible and ended up getting a upgrade. Room met Asian international standards (room sligtly smaller than good standard room in top chain in Singapore, Malaysia, but well furnished, kept clean and comfy. The flat screen TV freed up some space). Great location on Mody road, Tsim Sha Tsui East (TST East), less noisy than probably other parts of TST, and quick access to the promenade. There's even a Moday Road entrance to the MTR albeit one has to walk a bit underground to get to the actual train, but not complaining, since it's all sheltered.
Having lived in HK before, I particularly liked that 2 shops (clothing and cosmetics) I patronize (international brands but best prices among Asian cities I frequent)had outlets right opposite the hotel in TST Shopping Centre, not to mention international coffee chains and eateries right round the corner.
At the back of the hotel is Peninsular Shopping Centre and it had little shops for many tourists needs. I bought a prepaid SIM card for my mobile phone for HK$60 that served me well the 4 days 3 nights I was there.

| "We were delighted with The Royal Garden. At the price we paid, we were not expecting much, so it was a wonderful surprise. The entire complex is lovely and clean. The concierge was extremely helpful and efficient, and the housekeeping staff, once they were used to us, took care of our needs without our having to ask for anything. We thought the hotel breakfast was too expensive for what we eat, but it was good. Our room was wonderful with a perfect view of Hong Kong." |

| "Royal Garden Hotel in Kowloon is one of the best hotel we have stayed. Although the price is not for budget travellers, our money spent on it is worth it. We even extended our stay in Hong KOng because we felt very comfortable after the days tour around the city. Our request of higher non-smoking floors were granted and my family felt verty comfortable during our stay. The rooms are clean and spacious and we could not even think of any negative comments with the hotel. Will definitely stay there again and again." |
