We got upgraded which was great. However the air-con was not working properly but we filled out a customer service report on that and received an email of apology straight away.
The location was ok-we booked the Royal Plaza for the first two night of our eleven nights stay in HK. We found that TST and YMT were better suited for us but the MTR and KCR was very close so was not a problem (the hotel is attached to the shopping centre)
Unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity of using the swimming pool but it looked great. The lobby was very grand lifts were good. The bar is in the middle of the lobby and there’s live singers at night. The bar staff could have smiled a bit more but I would not recommend drinking there unless it’s happy hour as I had a quick (small) coke and it came to approx. 40$!!
Overall a good hotel.

| "We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Plaza for the duration of the Olympic Equestrian events. We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the Mong Kok East train station for easy access to the venues.
The hotel room was very spacious and well equipped. It was very clean and any requests were met promptly.
Our only disappointment was the cost of the hotel food. The restaurant was very expensive both for breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was only available as a buffet and we felt that A$35+ each was too much. The only other option was a continental breakfast with room service but this also was quite expensive. A restaurant where you can get a light breakfast at a reasonable price would be good.
I would certainly use Asia Rooms again to look after my booking.

| "I think this hotel provide great convenience for anyone who relies heavily on the MTR subway train to commute as this hotel is connected to Mongkok East Station. Hotel staffs pays extra details to your need as I ran out of toothpaste, they automatically gave me a new one after the room service. Hotel staffs are friendly and overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants great experience in Hong Kong. Btw, this hotel has won award in food culinary in year 2007 for chinese food. So you have to check it out." |

During our stay at the hotel, no daily newspapers was given to our rooms.
Rooms should be given free internet access or free interent access subject to a cap maybe in terms of hours of usage." |
