Would I stay at this location
again:

Absolutely!
Our stay was 3-6 August 2007.We were a party of four people. Having read several reports on hotels in the area, we went to Stanford with a small degree of concern. The street does not look very salubrious, but once inside the hotel our views very quickly changed. We were greeted warmly by the staff who spoke very good English. Quickly registered and went to our rooms. By European standards, the rooms are fairly small(I am 1m 82cms)Despite this we felt that there was more than adequate space for us. Very clean and quite well equipped.(tea making facilities were very welcome!) Word of warning is not to use the Sport Restaurant in the basement. Rather expensive and no English spoken. Did not even understand "Vodka". In sharp contrast, the Cafe(first floor, reserve your table) was super. My daughter is vegetarian and Vicki(staff) went out of her way to ensure she got a good meal. She also spoke very good English. Happy hour is from 6pm to 8pm when the beer is free!! Good for breakfast too. The concierge is very friendly and helpful and also speaks English ( good source of information). We all agreed we would definitely use this hotel again on our next visit. Gwilym Griffith

"this is one of the cheapest hotel with very good location in HK. Althought the room is really very small, the location is really good. 3mins to ladies strt..and 10mins to fa yuen street. i would reccomend tking A21 from airport as it is nearer than mtr."

"Room is small but it is furnished with table, medium size LCD TV on the wall, fridge etc..all in good condition. Bath room has a nice counter top basin but the shower area is qutie tight. Cleanliness is not at an perfect level since I have a sensitive nose, but I would say it is at good level for most people. The location is perfect for people who are there for shopping as some busiest streets are just within few min walking distance. I would recommend this hotel for people who would like to stay comfortably and yet do not have alot of budget, and for people who are mainly there for shopping. "

"We had a 5 night stay and it was a brilliant hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. Room service always did a great job. There was a fridge and LCD TV in the room along with a jug etc. Some people may review this and say the room is too small. I think though the room was a great size for 2 people considering I have stayed in much smaller rooms in Hong Kong. So, for the price, it is well worth it. The buffet breakfast is well worth it in the morning and reasonably priced. There is Wi-Fi at the hotel, but you need to pay for it (although not overly priced). Location is good and close to the MTR and KCR: only about 10 minute walk - but its not ideal with lots of luggage. This is more due to the number of steps to get up to the KCR or down to the MTR. Lots of shops around and good restaurants. Make sure you buy an octopus card from an MTR station to get you around. You can also use it at the 7/11 shop very close to the hotel. Would stay again if going back to Hong Kong."

"I like Asia room best! quick respond to my booking. My overall stay in Stanford is good, the room size is better then what I expect. Good location, distance to Mongkok MTR is durable (5mins). Will book my hotel with asiarooms for my future travel!"
