I would definitely consider staying at the Stanford Hillview again on my next trip to HK. The location is convenient especially because its still quite lively at night with lots to buy and eat even into the wee hours. There are quite a few small eateries in the adjoining lanes with really great meals going for affordable prices.
Rooms at the Stanford Hillview are a decent size and the staff is helpful. While the shortcut through Knutsville Terrace provides an escalator up, there are still plenty of stairs to climb to get to the hotel, making this the only downside to the hotel. Though getting a cab near the Stanford Hillview hotel is easier, we needed to lug our luggage down the small hill to get to it so that was somewhat a pain. Bring luggage with wheels.

| "This hotel is located in a steep hill but there is no problem. It is near MTR and very convenient to access to shopping areas. The room is clean. The bed and pillow are comfortable. There was only one problem. When I made reservation via website, I requested for "late checkout" . When I asked the front desk officers, they said "NO" and cannot allow for late check out. However, when I informed them that I have requested for late check out condition during making reservation and showed the document to them, they allowed me for late check out.
Next year, I plan to go to Hong Kong and will stay in this hotel again." |

| "When arrived in the hotel I was informed although I had breakfast included in my reservation it was only for one person.
The employee at the reception informed I should not use travel agencies and book directly at the hotel web site to be entitled to complimentary breakfast, internet and other benefits." |
