| "The location of the hotel is fantastic, right near Temple market and 10-15 minute walk to Ladies market and Nathan rd. Also near public transport. Hotel offers free internet which is handy. I had requested no smoking room and a queen bed and we got 2 seperate single beds in a smoking room. When I queried this, hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and said there were not enough rooms in the hotel that have double/queen beds. I find it extremely hard to believe that in a hotel that size there are not enough big beds. As for the smoking/non smoking room problem, apparently all beds on a no smoking floor are single beds. Then again everywhere in HK allows smoking (even though there are new laws against it) and customer service is rare in Asia. If you are after a hotel in a good location for a resonable price I would suggest this hotel, we were there for only a couple of nights so I wasnt too fussed about my requests being ignored." |

| "This hotel is good value for 1 night traveler,i would not recomend for any loger stay as there is no service, room service,restaurant/breakfirst facilities, etc.
its a cheap tourist place - quick in quick out, even with coach from airport it took 1.20 minuts as i was the last in the row to get of the coach - may be the location?
i guess there are better hotels in the same price brackett in HK.
anyway GOOD LUCK
bUT HAVE TO SAY THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN,EXEPT BATHROOM!" |

| "We tried to get away from street noises and got a room at the 22nd floor. That was, however, close to the elevator shaft and we were kept awake most of the night by noisy machinery. The regsitration lobby is geing redone, but after completion it should be good value for your money spent. Very nicely situated away from downtown, but still within walking distance. Also very close to the night market." |

| "Stayed there with family in February 2006. There was a time at around middle of the night, someone opened the door to our room. We are quite shocked that someone else could enter our room with their magnetic card. When we tried using our own magnetic card key to the door, it was being rejected.
Soon, we went down to the receptionist to clarify things and they said they did not assign our room to anybody else, but our room number was clearly written in the other person card.
Also, they provided us only with 1 blanket for the room and when we asked them, they said that they had provided us with 3 blankets. I think they really need to do something with their administration.
Other factors about the room and amenities.
- Mattress is very hard.
- No air heater. It won't be a problem if you are not staying during winter time but will be freezing if the weather is cold.
- Location is ok. Not too noisy and it is not too far to MTR station. It is also near to the bus stop to go to airport.

Quite impressed with hotel. Staff on reception were very friendly, and didn't need to complain to them about anything.
Location of hotel was very good. Very close to Temple Street Night market (Men's market), and only 2 MTR (underground/MRT/subway, etc) stops away from Ladies market. 1 or 2 stops away from MTR for Star Ferry, but MTR also goes to Hong Kong Island.
When we checked into hotel, we could either have a smoking room with a double bed, or a non-smoking room with 2 single beds (maybe they run out of rooms which we wanted - non smoking double room). We chose the non-smoking twin room, but unfortunately could still smell a bit of smoke in the room (maybe thru the air-con). Thats only major problem I would say.
Also, walls are not too soundproof, so can sometimes hear next room's shower, etc. Not too much of a problem though.
Overall, we would stay here again, as the price and location are very good, and the other problems aren't too much of a problem!
If you are flying there, it's worth getting the Octupus card for travel around Hong Kong. This gets you return Airport Express to Tsing Yi / Kowloon / HK island, 3 days free MTR travel anywhere in Hong Kong, and a credit to use as well. After you've used it you get a refund too when you hand it back.
AsiaRooms.com have very good hotel rates too! Use them!

| "Stayed there in May 2005. Room size were okay( not as small as i expected, size was pretty okay). Room and bathroom was clean. Was quiet and there wasnt any loud talking as i thought. The front desk staff were pretty okay too.The only thing was they didnt change the bedsheet everyday. But overall, the hotel was pretty good and i would stay there again.
