"I prefer a hotel closer to the MTR station."

"Travel time from hotel to my appointments required more time than other hotels' locations. In this sense it was inconvenient."

"Great value, lovely room especially the bed, most comfortable ever! A little off the main attractions in HK but buses ran very often and taxis are cheap."

"We had overall good experience with two nights for the reason of close to the airport. Staffs were pleasent and nice. First the room had no heating system, just happened to be HK got hit by very cold weather(by their standard)at the time therefore, we endured a tough cold night of sleep with temp of 17C. Then we found out they do supply portable heater and extra blanket, so, we had good night sleep on the 2nd. night. It is true the hotel is located in a remote area where there is not many stores, restaurant etc, however, just below the hotel at the basement level there are few stores one can purchase luggage, limited selections of clothing, some grocery, laundary service and a fast food restaurant which cattle both Chinese and Western food etc. But, if one likes more actions, funs and good food, one can take a minibus at a cost of HK$2.80 and takes 7 minites to Tsing Yi City (Four story Mall as well as major tansportation depot). They charge internet user fee for HK$100 per 24hr. in the room. but it is free if you have a laptop to do at the lobby. Taxi to nearest airport rail is about HK$30 with luggages fee and HK$60 p/p to airport by rail. Since we have two people and managed to bargain with the driver for HK$180 to airport directly. "

"The location not centralised but there's free shuttle bus to the MTR station which is good. The room was clean and tidy. There's a cafe, convenience stores and bookshop at the basement so it was really convenient for me."

"Rooms very small. Swimming pool not free, hard to get there. Very poor view."

"Not a bad choice for a budget hotel near Disneyland & Lantau Island. Place is quite, easy access by mini bus and taxi to the nearest shopping centre & MRT station. Enjoyed the mini bus ride to Tsing Yi Shopping Centre. "

"The Rambler Crest Hotel is fantastic value for money with stylish modern rooms and shower rooms. The rooms are a reasonable size for a city hotel. Not large by any means but adequate. You look across the container terminal towards Hong Kong Island. Not your normal view but very interesting. There is a fantastic open air swimming pool that you can use in the summer months The staff are very friendly and ready to help. You are not in the centre of Hong Kong but a five minute local mini bus journey takes you to the Tung Chung line and you can be in Central Station in 13 minutes, or a change at Lai King and you can be in Tsim Sha Tsui in about 20 mins. On leaving we checked our luggage in at Kowloon Station. A ten minute, $80 taxi journey and very convienient. It cost us far less than a travel lodge in the UK."

"This hotel is located in a remote area. If you check in late at night. The only thing you can find food to eat is Instance Noodle. This is the poorest hotel service I have ever experienced."

"My daughter and I stayed at Rambler Garden in Sept 2005. The location is quite far from the popular shopping areas of Kowloon and Hong Kong island, but is easily accessible by taking minibus 88G, whose terminal is right next to the hotel, followed by MTR from Kwai Fong. The room is small, but it surely looks and smells clean (because the hotel is new). The staff are reasonably friendly and efficient. For someone who wants a quiet place to stay after a hectic day of shopping, etc., the Rambler Garden certainly provides that. However, location may be a bit of a problem for first-time travellers to Hong Kong."
