Wonderful garden ambience but property is in...
Wonderful garden ambience but property is in need of refurbishment - looking a bit tired - which could be forgiven if the food & service were up to speed, which sadly they were not - it seems as if no-body cares - suggest the current GM is probably not a leader (nor interested). To concentrate on weddings is fine as a business strategy but guests will only return & recommend if the food & service are up to scratch. At $28 for the country breakfast dish I do not expect dry pre-cooked bacon out of a bain marie! We spent our F&B dollars in nearby Stirling after suffering dinner on our first night.

I just loooove this place! The views...
I just loooove this place! The views of the Piccadilly valley are just stunning. It has atmosphere and ambience. I have stayed here twice now and loved every minute. It has that magical rich country house quality about it and you can easily imagine that you are staying a a country manor with rich relatives! My sister got married there and we stayed the night with many of the other guests. We felt pampered and thoroughly enjoyed every second! The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have been back for a very romantic weekend ourselves and been there for dinner and Sunday afternoon tea too! I just can't get over the fact that we are staying within 20 minutes of the city! It's a nice little walk to the Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and/or Mt Lofty Lookout. I just can't wait to stay there again!
