The Esplanade was perfectly placed for Fremantle activities. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Layout of accomodation area was a bit of a rabbit warren.
I FELT THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE A LITTLE MORE PERSONAL TOWARDS THEIR CUSTOMERS, PARTICULARLY AT THE RECEPTION DESK WHERE THEY ADOPTED A VERY BUSINESS LIKE APPROACH TO PEOPLE WHO WERE CLEARLY ON A HOLIDAY/SOCIAL VISIT. tHE NOISE LEVEL FROM THE REFURBISHMENT WAS VERY HIGH AND THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOME REDUCTION IN THE PRICE OF THE ROOMS AS WELL AS PRIOR NOTIFICATION OF THE DISRUPTION.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Esplanade. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. I loved the pool area. The gym was prob a bit too small but i still utilized it. And the location was fantastic close to every thing. I would highly recommend the Esplanade to any one who could afford it. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The only fault I could find was after paying $200 a night I felt the Esplanade could provide a courtesy bus to the airport instead of the $35 each way I had to pay. Otherwise I could not fault the motel at all.
Overall for the holiday we wanted, it was a great place to stay. We had our 3 kids with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the place as we did!! We would stay there again as it was convenient to everything and also a great place to meet up with people.
The design of the bathroom is a bit awkward. The toilet bowl is right in front of the nasin which caused inconvenience. The floor of shower is level with outside and caused leaking problem. Overall is fine, good location, nice and comfortable.
The hotel removed the doona in order to save the gas. But it was winter time when we were there. We were freezing at night and we have to turn the heater the whole night. Isn't it consume more gas?
the room electrical points are poorly fixed. I can tell it fixed much later after the hotel was built because they are all out of places, bad orientation, metal casing for plug (that is dangerous), and the air con thermo control and switch has sparks coming out.
The room is ugly, lights are too dim, and too few lights. Like look a brothel, not a five star hotel.
Our stay at the Esplanade was fabulous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was great, views good and close proximity to cafe strip in Fremantle
This hotel was nice but we stay in a lot so in comparison to the others i would rate it at 3 out of 5. For the money you pay it was not what was expected. Very expensive to dine in house and you have to pay for parking $25 a night and also to watch a movie it cost $17.95 per one. Our room over looked roof tops and there was no privacy on the balcony as everyone looked in on it. I will not be staying there again.
Overall nice but no thanks
The Eaplande was superb both in location and outstanding quality. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to family and friends. Only minor irritation is that most pool view rooms also over look the car park
