It was a pleasant stay. I was only looking at reasonable accommodation and the place was good compared to booking two hotel rooms as I have 4 persons. The Ibis provided a good sleep over room and the basics that are required. Will stay in the Ibis again. The reception staff are very helpful.

The proximity of the hotel to the CBD district and also to the Victoria Market makes it ideal for those who are travelling on business or holiday. Rooms are clean and the staff are courteous and provide good service. However, it would be an added attraction if free wireless internet connection is made available to the clients of the hotel. Alternatively, the wireless internet charge can be reduced to a nominal amount of say $2 per hour for those using their own notebooks. This will make it ideal for travellers (on holiday or business) to keep in contact with their families and office. Current internet charge is just too high.

The room was good however as I booked approx 4 months prior to the reservation date & that I specified a non smoking room was disappointed to be placed in a smoking room, when I contacted the desk they said they were fully booked. If I choose to again stay at an Ibis & give adequate notice it would be appreciated to have a non smoking room.

The Ibis Hotel at Therry St in Melbroune is great. The stuff there provide great service. They even let me check in earlier cos they had extra rooms n it was still early in the morning. The location is also great. Malls and food places are within walking distance.
