never again
The room was small, there was no cupboard or shelf, the AC did not work, the window could not be opened because the street noise was too loud. Far too expensive for the poor standard, never again!

First of all, the location of the hotel is good because it is near to the beach and transport is convenient as well. The staff there is friendly.

Myself and my partner really enjoyed our...
Myself and my partner really enjoyed our stay at BASE Melbourne. We found the entertainment exceptionally good, the entertainment provided in the bar was great, and that the theme changed every night, and no two nights were the same, which was really refreshing. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the people friendly, and found that it was close to all facilities/transport. Thankyou

Overall it was a pleasent stay. The staff were nice & friendly. No problems finding food with several fast food joints nearby as well as restaurants and pubs. I won't recommend this hotel to family groups though as they'll definitely feel out of place. But if you're young and hip then this is the place to stay :)

The double bedroom was good. The location is great- perfect for the beach and restaurants and only a short tram ride into the main city. There is a bar downstairs- can be a little loud at night, but nothing too bad. Kitchen- don't bother- a bunch of little piglets live here and it is usually filthy. It's also very small for the number of people trying to use it. If you have just left Uni and are used to living with a bit of a pigsty for a kitchen- then go for it! Although, if you are ok to go to restaurants (which there are many great places to eat) then this is a good place to stay. Book this through asiarooms as the rack rate/ own website price is over $50 more!!!
