why I will not use either asiarooms or atalantis again
When I had to change my booking from 3 days to 2 days process was next to impossible and the mis-information from both sides was always incorrect with Nett Result "I had to pay for additional room night when not required and not used"
I spoke to staff at hotel - have to change with asiarooms, spoke to asiarooms have to change at hotel and so on.
So no to re-use by myself / staff or friends

Better than basic
Reasonable hotel with decent rooms. Quite cheap and quiet, despite being near the trains. The big plus is that it's near the Spencer Street station (where the Sky Bus from the airport stops) and shopping centre. The minus is that it is not that near the main shopping area and other sights but getting around the city is quite easy.
The front desk staff were OK but didn't really see many other staff around so when the front desk was busy, it was impossible to ask for help. When I had trouble with the air-conditioning, it was the front desk staff that tried to sort it out because the housekeeping staff apparently leave at 2.
Had to pay for Wi-Fi and it was a bit slow. If you're from overseas and need an adaptor, you have to buy one from the hotel at $10.
Amazing non-sexual massage place down the road. The foot reflexology session sent me to sleep.

Hotel staff are very approachable and friendly. Services was very good. Room is tidy, clean and convenient. I highly recommend it to my friends and relatives. Easy to locate and accessible to transport and other place of interest. Affordable and reasonable price.

Something to consider for hotel mgmt
Hair dryer was not functional in room no. 602 but it was not repaired or replaced despite several complaints. It is better not to mention that adapter can be borrowed. I was told that it is not available and I have to buy from nearby shop. Otherwise, rest is fine.

The only service that we required was to check in and check out, and that was fine.
The room was very small, with no seating other than on a bed. One dining type chair provided. Bathroom was huge but obviously suited for wheelchair access. (Tiles cracked in shower area).
No mini bar provided.
TV reception was poor.
No parking available other than to be 'double parked' with keys left at reception.

Upon arriving at the Atlantis they did not have a booking for us therefore no room and no vacancies. However the person who was just given the last room was still at the front desk and he was asked very kindly if he would mind giving up his room for us which he did.I was very grateful for this as there was a specific reason why I needed to stay at the Atlantis. Later it was found that we were booked in for 2008. Other than this and a fridge that did not keep drinks cold (possibly because it is in a cupboard and the heat surrounds it) until we realised to leave the cupboard door open we had a very enjoyable time there. Very good hotel en very nice people. They helped us with everything we asked. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was very big and clean.
