great value for the location, located in...
great value for the location, located in the heart of the bars and club district. Room sides is more like a 3 star hotel, no all day room service, very basic hotel for the money, no self service laundry only.

Poor service when things went wrong in...
Poor service when things went wrong in bathroom, a nosiy hotel,breakfast food of poor quality. Although billed as in the entertainment area, this is for adults only!

We stayed here for a night so...
We stayed here for a night so we wouldn't have to try and find a taxi back to our home in Perth after a big night on the town. Ideal hotel for this kind of thing. Walking distance from the nightlife in Northbridge. Checkout is 11AM which is good after a big night. Breakfast stops at 10AM though. Breakfast was ok, not great.

The Acacia is a most pleasant hotel...
The Acacia is a most pleasant hotel situated in Northbridge. I was greeted most warmly on my arrival by the receptionist. The rooms were utilitarian and comfortable. In addition, there are gymn facilities which I made use of on my first night in. The gymn is fully equipped, but could do with some more lighting. The dinner menu is extensive and consisted of asian, indian and european menus. The dishes I tried were of good quality, and the quantity was more that ample. The hotel is situated in Northbridge, and is close to both the CBD and Northbridge (within walking distance for those who are quite keen to get a little bit of a workout). Also there are free buses (the blue CAT which leave regularly from Aberdeen Street. This said though, travelling back to the hotel at night from the CBD on public transport can be a mission as the free buses stop at that time. That said though, the hotel is a great one to stay at and I would recommend it as a stay for anyone in Perth.
