This was a perfect spot for a couple of nights in Port Douglas. The proprieters were a nice couple who were happy to help out, you only had to ask.
The room was clean and well equipped for a couple to stay in. There was enough equipment to cater for breakfast and light meals which suited us for a couple of nights, as there are many excellent places to eat in PD.
It has an ideal location. Close to the beach and a short walk from all the amenities of Port Douglas, without being in the middle of the noisy main street.
We would recommend the apartments and would stay there again.

Martinique on Macrossan was a delightful hotel. The rooms were very well designed and equipped and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel was excellent - sitting in between the town, with all its excellent bars and restaurants and shops, and the beach. We were very impressed with the service provided by the hotel owners, who were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Our experience at the Martinique was outstanding....
Our experience at the Martinique was outstanding. The rooms are very spacious with a kitchenette, bathroom with large shower, bedroom, breakfast table,living room, and balcony/patio. The scenery on the grounds around the hotel is beautiful. There is a lovely pool surrounded by a spectacular courtyard, and a barbeque pit and tables are available for enjoying a meal outside.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Four Mile beach is just a hop, skip, and jump away. Within walking distance, you have everything you need. All the restaurants, shops, grocery store, pharmacies, local market, car rental, and bike rental shops can be reached by foot on the main strip.
Everything about the Martinique is great. The best part about the hotel is the people who run it, Moss and Theresa Hunt. They make your trip complete by making you feel at home. It is like having an extended family. They take a personal interest in each and every guest. Moss and Theresa Hunt will book all of your tours for you right there at the hotel. They give you great tips on what to do and where to go.
Moss Hunt is a talented songwriter and singer. He has a CD that he sells at the hotel called Laa Laa Land. The CD is wonderful and is a definite must. Before leaving the hotel, make sure you pick up at least one CD if not more. Whenever you play the CD back home, you will feel like you are back in Australia.
When we make it back to Port Douglas in Australia, we will definitely stay at the Martinique. The hotel, location, and Moss and Theresa Hunt, who run the hotel, are incredible. Your experience at the Martinique will be one you will never forget.
