this place gives no pretentions of opulence but it is quiet, clean and friendly. It is situated in a quirky area on a main road with plenty of restaurants, pubs, bookshops etc and an excellent bus service to the centre of Sydney one way and Bondi Beach the other way. An excellent buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant (which only opens for breakfast) and a cooked option is available for an extra $5.00AS (which is well worth the money). There is a very pleasant garden courtyard with a pool, but the weather was not suitable when I stayed. There is no bar but the pub next door is OK and has a reasonable food menu. The hotel has produced a guide of what to do and where to eat etc which, as a newcomer to Sydney, I found useful. Reception staff were also very helpful indeed. I was travelling alone and this hotel met all my needs; if I was wanting a romantic break with a new girlfriend then I would not choose it.

I loved Sullivans. It was simple but everything I wanted could be found somewhere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. As a single traveller I felt very much looked after and would have stayed much longer. The location is excellent with the 380 bus going to Bondi beach one way and circular quay the other. And the use of a free computor was excellent for a traveller away from home. Nice touches like the courtyard and swimming pool, free bikes, washing facilities, a place to leave suitcases and the free muffins on the reception counter after a hard days sightseeing. I couldn't fault this hotel, not fussy or luxurious but absolutely everything else

Well located on a bus route to the city centre and Circular Quay. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Good breakfast which costs AUS$ 14 pp. Modern clean rooms. Small but delightful pool.

Another enjoyable stay at Sullivans. Rooms clean and spacious enough for our needs, pool area lovely, staff great. I left some items behind which they sent back to me promptly. A great good value place to stay

We enjoyed 3 night stay. Considering its fee, we were satisfied with this hotel in almost all aspects. Surrounding is safe, convenient and quiet area and we could easily walk to city center. Cleaning of bath room was not so good and we found mouse's dropping.
