Dissapointing hotel considering the name and reputation...
Dissapointing hotel considering the name and reputation of the Raffles group hotels. Location was its good point. Room was similar to a 3 star hotel, no coffee or tea making facilities, bathroom fairly basic. May have been better if the childrens swimming pool had not been under our balcony, as was very noisy at times. Staff were friendly, but very discouraging to using the local Tuk-Tuk drivers who we found were very safe and accommodating with where we wanted to go.

A dissapointment after Raffles in Singapore, stayed...
A dissapointment after Raffles in Singapore, stayed in better 4 star Hotels, no coffee facilities in room. Food in Restaurant very good, service okay.

We stayed at the Raffles Le Royal...
We stayed at the Raffles Le Royal hotel April 2005. We were greated with cool towels and a welcome drink. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool.The service was great and so was the location.The buffet in the morning was exellent (even had dim sum)great 5 star hotel.

I stayed in the Raffles Royal in...
I stayed in the Raffles Royal in Feb. 2005. It has a beautiful colonial style setting, the service is good, the location is very convenient, the buffet breakfast was excellent, the room (Landmark room) was somewhat sober. However, in summary I find the hotel overpriced. I stayed in the Oriental hotel in Bangkok the week before at the same price as in the Royal, and the contrast is pretty sharp.

I was invited to attend the openning...
I was invited to attend the openning ceremony of the hotel when I was resided in Phnon Penh during 1996-97, and I found the hotel had a plenty of well-trained local staffs that cannot be compared with other hotels in the city.
