Oasis in the city
We were booked at the Villa for two nights but stayed an extra day.
The pool and surrounding areas were a delight in the midddle of the day
The location is perfect, close but not to far to all the attractions walking distance to some good expat areas and resturants .
Ok the Watt next door can wake you up a bit early with the gong,but the mo.nks chant you back to sleep after
always a tuktuk at the front for a lift to the river for $3.00
A great base for your stay in Cambodia.

Peaceful Villa Langkar
In the middle of bustling Phonm Penh, Villa Langka is a tranquil oasis! Well located with access to cafes and places of interest, it was lovely to return each evening to the friendly staff and peace of this hotel. Travelling on your own in a busy city can be lonely, but the staff were so kind and sitting beside the pool sipping wine in the balmy evening so calming, that I felt comfortable at all times - it was like ''coming home''! My room, in the new section of the hotel, was clean and functional. As one of the cheapest rooms, it did not have a view of the pool but I enjoyed watching the progress each day of the builders constructing the tiled roof of the building opposite!

Hotel grounds seemed cooler than the city outside
Swimming pool was very nice, but the tiles around it were very slippery when wet. In fact, I did slip once and hurt my toe. (Good thing I had some band-aids in the room to soak up the blood.)
wifi strength / internet speed were sometimes good and sometimes poor (especially at night)
Room & bathroom were of a good size. Beds were comfortable. Large screen TV.
Bath drainage was very slow the first day, but improved on the second day
Wait staff were very attentive. One of the reception staff was especially helpful, and even walked us to the Lucky supermarket a few blocks away.
The instructions for the in-room safe were missing. I called reception who said they would send a copy up, but it never arrived. (We worked out how to use it ourselves.)

We enjoyed our stay.
Staff were friendly and managed to deal with a mix up with room over-booking reasonably well although were a bit disorganised in sorting us out with a safety deposit box.
The resturant and pool area were very pleasant and breakfast was tasty and offered reasonably good choice of different types of fruit, pastries, and hot food although not to the same extent of a large hotel. The hot food was particularly good.
Walkable to the river (20mins) and nice selection of bars and resturants a couple of minutes walk away in the other direction.
On the recommendation of some other reviews we took a trip with Mr Lee the tuk-tuk man, and had a great day.
(Beware if you like to have the bathroom separated from the bedroom by a door..)

Nice enough hotel,and reasonable value, great location in BKK1 area, you can walk to great eating houses and cafes and its a $2 tuktuk ride from the Riverfront late at night. Beware the Temple gong calling the locals to rise and exercise at 5-00am!Look out for Mr Lee, a great tuktuk driver who parks outside. He is reliable, speaks great English and is a good guide,and book him for a day, half day or whatever you want. he will make a difference to your stay for sure.

Gorgeous boutique hotel, a bit pricey but the room was gorgeous, and the service impeccable. Breakfast basic but good, pool absolutely stunning. Slightly pretentious expat clientele but a lovely place, would definitely stay again!

Great to find such a lovely place...
Great to find such a lovely place in the middle of all th noise of the city. Even though the building work next door was a small annoyance the pool setting by our room and the accessibility to everything in such a small area was ok, it will not stop me returning. Very helpful and friendly staff who are keen to improve all the time. could do with some hot water in the shower, otherwise its a great place to stay.
