Great location!
We always stay in this hotel whenever we are in Hong Kong. Number one reason would be its excellent location--it is located in Harbour City, a "city" in itself. Everything is accessible from this hotel. The MTR exit is a mere 5 minute walk, Nathan Road is a couple of blocks away, and most of the shops that can be found in other malls are also here. Number two reason is the size of their room & beds. We have 2 kids aged 2 & 11, and having 2 double beds is excellent as it is not an option for us to get a separate room for our children. There is a lot of space for our luggage & other things.
The only downside is that the rooms are quite old. They are undergoing renovation right now, so hopefully in our next visit, the rooms will be refurbished already. The restaurant where we had our breakfast, too, was undergoing renovation. So we had it in a function room, it wasn't nice looking at all, it felt like a canteen or some second rate restaurant. However, the breakfast buffet was quite good.

Great location, shopping is just a step away. The famous 'Sweet Dynasty' restaurant is just across the street. View may not be so great if you stay in cheap rooms. But it provides powerful hot shower and clean bedsheet.

When I did make reservations I expected the Prince marco Polo Hong-Kong where I stayed years ago. It is quite difficult to make difference with the appellation. I was deceived . AM Cousin

A classic example of a hotel looking...
A classic example of a hotel looking "ok" from the outside but the expensive rates you pay do not relect quality. The furniture is tired & poor quality; even the bath towels are thin, rough & cheap. Service is not personal, you get the feeling you're just another face in their never ending queue at the front desk. The staff could do with training in courtesy & friendliness. Even when we greeted the staff in the mornings with "good morning" we were ignored.
A fault developed with our toilet as part of the hotel's renovation work on the floor above. Sewage poured out of the toilet bowl & completely flooded the bathroom. The hotel responded rapidly but the workmen trampled all over the room carpet with shoes covered in sewage & ignored our pleas for the carpet to be covered with towels to prevent soiling. At my insistence we were given a room change but this incident cost us a whole morning (we only had 3 days in Hong Kong) & could have been handled better by the hotel. Definitely not a quality hotel; it desperately wants to be international 4 star but it is 3 star at the very most & even thats being generous.

The people at the hotel were constantly very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect, the breakfast room is very spacious and so you get a place easily
in the morning ( not always possible in all hotels in Hongkong).
I recommend this hotel wholeheartly.

What spoiled a good experience was the...
What spoiled a good experience was the fact that a cheap con by putting the complimentry bottled water in the bar fridge and the expensive bottled water in the bathroom where you wash your teeth. One would expect to have to pay for goods taken out of the mini bar and not from the bathroom where all other hotels leave complementry bathroom ameneties like hair brush, tooth paste and plain bottled water. Not the other way arround so as to trike the trired and unwary traveller. I hope the $68.00 that i was charged when my wife unawrily opened water in the bathroom to brush her teeth is going to make the diffrence to your business as i thing in the long run it will lose mine.

This is the 2nd time in 2...
This is the 2nd time in 2 years that I've stayed at the Marco Polo Prince. They've recently changed the lobby design, unfortunately for the worse it seems. The lobby now seems even smaller.
HOWEVER, the room is still fantastic. Huge for Hong Kong standards, great service, brilliant bathroom, outstanding location in Tsim Tsa Tsui with easy access to everywhere you need to be. Close to China First Ferry Terminal too, so it was a breeze lugging all my luggage to Macau.
Will probably be the only hotel in HK I will ever stay in, even in future visits.
