I have stayed at Stanford Hotel on many ocassions. The staff is always curteous and prompt. The facilities used include only the Dining and Bar/Lounge, which are always enjoyable. The pricing and location are the main attraction for my repeated stays.

I stayed in the Stanford during a stopover on my way to New Zealand. I found the hotel to be ideally sited for easy access to the shops and street markets, there was an abundance of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The facilities in the hotel were good including the dining area. Although i only stayed for two nights i wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again and can recommend it. Many thanks to the staff at the hotel who were very friendly. Lee Smith

Location of Stanford Hotel in Mongkok is excellent. Although the room is small, it was clean and comfortable.
Hotel staff on the whole was polite and helpful. We would appreciate if they could be more helpful with our luggage when we are leaving the hotel for the airport.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we would certainly come back again.

This hotel is in a great location....
This hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to the central of Mongkok where all the buzz is. It also has an abundance of restaurant, takeaways and other western food outlets near by. As the stanford is tucked away in a corner there is very little passing traffic so you sure will get a goodnight sleep. The best part is the shopping. All the famous markets are just round corner, so if you're looking for bargains, this is the best location. The rooms are not very big but are very comfy and clean. The staff are friendly and courteous. There are tours and airport transports available from the reception. The prices for the rooms are usually very reasonable most of the year, but it can be expensive during Oct-Nov. The Stanford is more suitable for families with children over the age of 4 as there are only shower rooms available. It is also great for budget travellers as everything you require are just within walking distance. There's even a laundry/dry cleaners across the road. Although the Stanford is rather understated, the service provided is just as superior as any other top hotels but without the extortionate price tag.

The location was fantastic! It was very near many shopping places and most importantly, near to the subway station. It's always a joy walking back to our hotel because the Mong Kok streets are just so lively even on weekdays, not to mention weekends!
The room was not small. I think it was quite good. the bathroom was clean and quite spacious for my standards.
However, the aircon temperature was not that cold though. but just nice to sleep without using the blanket. The lift was also very slow because they only have 2 lifts to serve many storeys. But apart from that, it's still a good hotel overall.
A good recommendation for those particular with location.

The location was great for travellers who are more keen on exploring the night markets nearby. Food if aplently too, with many restaurants and small roadside stalls in the various streets nearby.
Only hiccup is, the staff at Stanford hardly smiles. Makes you feel unwelcome and processing of guest's requests are a chore.
