Past its used by date!
As my laptop crached while on holiday I aske the business centre to book a computer with webcam for an important meeting the next day. Well what a drama, the business centre manager could find a computer with a web cam. "Maybe there is one some where in the hotel" was the best she could do! Later that night (10.45pm after I was asleep!!) the duty manager called, well I could rent a laptop from the hotel, for 10,000HKD deposit!! Are they crazy!
What sort of 5 star hotel cant arrange a computer or laptop with a webcam without having to fork out 10,000HKD!
The standard room is old and dated, the TV is on a stand sort of in the middle of the room, so you have to walk around it to move around the room. The shower/bathroom is low pressure and goes hot to cold without warning.
Overall this is more like a 3 star property!

Overnight Stay in HK
I arrived on a late flight into HK and chose this hotel for it's convenience to the airport. The room was well equipped and clean, the swimming pool and gym were first class. All in all a very good hotel for a stop over in HK.
The only frustration was the long queue for check-in and check-out due to limited resources behind the reception desk.

If you are on business or just fancy treating yourself then this a great hotel stopover.7 times worlds best airport hotel and for a reason.I arrived with my pregnant diabetic wife and we had a cash flow programme until the morning as the hotel requests that they swipe your card for the full amount for a 1 night stay.This was sorted after a discussion with the duty manager and he accepted a lower deposit to accomodate us and also upgraded us to a superior room on the 11th floor with gold cards to access the lift for this floor.He also provided us with free internet access to sort out our bank problem which was great.The view in the room was great across the bay and the runway but dont be put off by plane noise as there is none at all.The room was triple glazed and unless you look outside you would not even know there was an airport nearby.I think the 5 stars and awards has inflated the price of the rooms but if its a one off or the company is paying then it is worth it.Indoor and outdoor heated pools and spa center and about 5 in house restaurants to choose from along with room service of course.Also if you dont fancy these there are cheaper restaurants to use 3 mins walk into the arrivals terminal and a 7 eleven and burger king etc.
The hotel could be better signposted from the arrivals hall but as you come out of the arrivals hall into the face of the awaiting crowds of public the walkway is in the corner to the left behind the costa coffee and lifts towards the car park.the concierge will take your bags as you step in the hotel and you take the card he gives you to the reception then your bags will be in the room just after you arrive although i did have to phone down to remind them to bring them up after 20 mins.Apart from this and the door keycard locking us out of the room as the batteries needed replaced in the door it was more than an average hotel on my floor anyway.I had already emailed the hotel from the uk when i got my confirmation from asia rooms requesting a late check out so my wife could rest before the long flights back to Scotland and within 30 mins i had a reply from the hotel reservations dept saying that we could check out at 7pm at no extra charge which i thought was excellent and should be typical of a 5 star hotel.hope this helps your decision.

My overall experience at Regal Airport Hotel is very satisfactory. They were able to accomodate my request for lower floor room and early check-in. Most of the Hotels in Hong Kong would let you wait after after noon. Regal Airport is highly recommended for visitors attending the trade show at asia world expo. You'll feel more relax and spend more time at the expo since ur hotel is just on the corner.

Modest cost for its location in Hong Kong. The hotel location at the airport makes it an exceptional option for the overnight stay between flights through Hong Kong. If you are looking for luxury, go into the city.

If you just have to stay over...
If you just have to stay over night to get your connection flight (it was the reason for us to choose this hotel) - the hotel is perfectly located. The room was surprisingly big, so was the bed, and the service better than in other hotels in Hong Kong. No problem even for a family with one or two children. If you want to see Hong Kong I wouldn't recommend this hotel, because the way to downtown is depend on the traffic quite long.

Clinically efficient. Debited our account well before we left Australia, received the service, or checked into the room. Indeed, before we could show our Asia Miles card and reap the benefits. Very expensive for a one-night sleep in a double bed, without breakfast. Excellent location for late night arrivals.
