It was my first time to stay in Sanur and Segara Village was a lovely way to see it!!
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved the pool areas, nice and close to the beach and the afternoon cocktails were a great way to finish the day and kick off the night.
Would definatly stay again!!

Our stay at the Segara Village was very dissapointing. After reading on the internet that thsi was a fully renovated hotel wew ere more than happy to pay the $140 per night for this accomodation. This is a significant amount of money for a hotel room in bali. However when we arrived and were asked to pay up front for the accomodation we were shown to our room. It was a very small corner room in a unrenovated part of the village. The room was clean but very small with no privacy as other balconies all around. After speaking with the reception people they offered us an upgrade to a cottage. The cottage was still in the unrenovated part but was bigger. The bathroom was not good. The shower was over the bath - old bath. the window was dirty and rusted as was the dirty old blind that covered the window. The towels were old. They were single beds that had been put together, this was ok but they didnt then put diferent bedding which meant that they were 2 duvets on the bed instead of 1 big one.
The resort itself looks very good with beautiful gardens and facilities. The renovated part / rooms look good from the outside. When i asked about upgrading to these it would have cost another $100 per night. We thought this was extorinate for the resort and did not want to pay that.
We would not stay in this hotel again in the rooms they gave us and felt we had overpaid. If we had paid $70 per night it wuld have been fine - $140 way too much.

The best thing about Segara is the location, definitely the very best part of Sanur Beach. The rooms were okay, nothing special but I figured you are paying for being part of the best spot along Sanur. They are pulling down old rooms to build new ones, so they should be beautiful, but I am sure you will pay alot more to stay in them!! All in all, I would go back at the drop of a hat as you can't beat this part of Bali, just won't have too high an expectation on the room if I don't pay for an upgrade.

This is a very nice hotel with a beutiful pool and beach areas and very good breakfast. The rooms are nice and clean. The service is ok but not the best - this is a quite big hotel and if you are looking for a personal touch you should go somewhere else.

We stayed here 10 years ago. The hotel has changed greatly since then, and ,in our view, all for the better. However, we booked on the internet wanting to stay in the same room, or at least in the same 'village'as we did in 1999. Sadly we mistook the Club Pool rooms for Village 1 and thus ended up in the wrong place. Village 1 is a barrack block of rooms near the entrance to the hotel, and although cheap for what you get, the rooms were a shade pokey. We asked for an upgrade and were very pleased with what we got.
We think that the Segara Village is a pleasant, quiet but with all the facilities you need, middle of the range hotel which is well positioned in Sanur. The staff were delightful, the rooms clean , the food good and the main infinity pool a delight. If we ever went back to Bali I am sure that we would stay at least a few days at the Segara Village again.

We stayed in the Segara Village Hotel following a brief stay in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel was the perfect antidote after the hustle and bustle of KL. The location of the hotel is perfect in Sanur with lovely restaurants and beach side café’s only a short walk away. Bali’s strong cultural heritage is evident in Sanur with Shrines and Temples situated around the area. The hotel is a haven of relaxation and tranquility. Set in the most beautiful tropical gardens, the rooms are modern, clean and well furnished. Our room had its own balcony and a comfortable, king-size bed. The room was equipped with a mini bar, hairdryer and dressing gown with slippers.
The hotel offers a range of excellent facilities including 3 pools (one of which is a large infinity pool), tennis court, pool bar, table tennis, pool table, a la cart restaurant, spa and beach area with towel service.
Food at the hotel was excellent, breakfast consists of a buffet style eatery set overlooking the beach and pool. The hotel restaurant offered a wide range of meals and drinks at very affordable prices.
The hotel staff where pleasant and easy to deal with, they offer a safety deposit box which is situated at reception and guarded 24hrs a day. The rooms where cleaned to a very high standard every day and grounds well maintained.
Overall we would strongly recommend the hotel for a perfect relaxing getaway for couples and family’s alike.
