Clean beach
Our overall experience was ok, because we spent our time at the swimming pool and beach. Very close to the oriental village. Xmas party was great, food was delicious but we almost missed it because we didn't know that we were on the guest list. I wish staff would be more attentive to the guest and more informative.

Location is nice but the cabanas definitely need an overhaul. Our one was close to kitchen and therefore quite noisy. Inside the years of usage are catching up. Overall ok, but not exeptional.

Nice view
This resort is very nice. I enjoyed it very much. But I have to say Thavor needs a bit of change I. Few things. Like the cleanless of the rooms are not to that standard. Also, they should add more verities to their breakfast. Other then this the location is perfect and it's real value for money.

fabulous experience
Ive read many negative reviews and we were apprehensive about booking the hotel. Can only speak from experience and the experience was totally positive. The hotel was out of this world. The private beach and pool were of the highest order. The price of food and beer were very reasonable. The beach view room was clean and we had no complaints. Hardly any mozzies, and believe me I'm one of the unlucky ones who they love to feast on. The hotel can be very quiet, even for couples. However, the taxi's are very reasonable, and we had 2 nights in the busier Cenang beach, and a cost of 26 Rm each way. (just over 5 pound) The cable car was again out of this world and a must. Another positive is that its a 10 min walk from the hotel. On the way we noticed monkeys on the side of the road and in the hotel. The hotel has an array of wonderful nightlife, such as hornbills and lizards. I would highly recommend this hotel BUT, there was one thing that I did not agree with. They charged me and extra 100 RM, after the original fee was agreed on Asia rooms, when I booked last November. I will be speaking to Asiarooms about this when I get home to complain. Apart from that everything was perfect.

Lovely resort with old rooms
Pool area and food was excellent. Rooms were old chalets widely spread on the large grounds, some hidden in the landscaping. Staff nice but few spoke English. Wonderful row of business including great little restaurant at entrance to resort and more within beach walking distance. Never went in ocean due to Jellyfish but some guests were swimming. Rented motorcycle to explore this fun busy island.

The Perfect Rest & Relaxation
I travel to Langkawi at least once a year with the occasional 2nd trip if I have serious unwinding needs. I have stayed in so many places since I have travelled there more than a dozen times and this is the first time I have decided that YES I do want to go back to Mutiara Burau Bay to stay.
My idea of a holiday is a clean beach, clear waters, privacy, peace and quiet and I go that all at Mutiara. Mr. Kamal the Operations Manager was on hand during my check in and his dazzling personality just made the waiting for the room all the more pleasant. He was even there when I checked out. How lucky can one get to give first hand feed back to the man in charge on his property. He made my stay all the more pleasant.
I cannot wait to go back there again.

Holiday Experince.
The property location in relation to distance to the airport as well as the water front is excelent.
The only minor problem tha we encountered was - We were travelling wirh another couple ( friends ) and had requested cabanas next to or near to each other. We had made our booking at least six months prior to ensure this was possible. When we checked in we had been allocated rooms quite a distance apart. It was explained that the properth was having renovations done to certain rooms and that due to the holiday season it was not possible to have this request met. I would have expected that having made a reservation so far in advance, no real effort was made to fulfill this request.
However we were very pleased with our stay at the Mutiara Burau Bay Beach Resort, Langkawi. The staff were very pleasant and eager to assist in all our other needs and the restuaurant and other facilities were excelant. Thank you for a great stay.
