Unfortunately we had just two days, we discovered this resort too late.
We enyoed our stay in in this comfortable wooden bungalows in a wonderful tropical garden.
Extremly friendly stuff, delicious breakfast, everything as we expected.Being in
Langkawi again, this will be our place.

Generally, experience with this hotel is just slightly above average (considering it being a 5 stars hotel).
- efficiency of the hotel house keeping is low... needs to wait hours for housekeeping, request for extra bed require several reminders
- hygiene and cleanliness of the room need improvement
- toiletries inadequate and do not provide shower gel
We were expecting better service as this was yet to be a peak season, unfortunately we were disappointed.

Never again
We booked two superior bungalows with a splendid garden view. What we got was a view on a rundown, shabby fence with a steeltower behind it. The asigned bungalows were far away from all activities and at the ugliest part of the beach where every thing was kept "natural". When we complained they said that we had booked the cheapest rooms for a promotion price. Finally after 2 hours of disussing they gave us two rooms which were a little better but it took them 5 hours -after several complains- to bring a babybed. Some technician, we asked for, because the TV was not working, never came. Also there wa a big construction site with a lot of noise. Nobody told us before. And the construction was going on since August.
We will never visit this hotel again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in rm 4704. The resort is very large and it is was quite a hike from our room to the lobby (5 mins at a fast walking pace). In the intense heat, by the time we got to the lobby/restaurants, we were already sweating!
The rooms are dated (but I understand some are under renovation) but they are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and food was ok albeit at inflated prices on property (as you would expect).
The main dining area (off property) is not far away, but again, in the heat, it is a tough walk. Taxi's are cheap but it is only a two minute ride.
If you were to stay here, try to get a room near the lobby/main pool and preferably renovated.

So naturally we ate outside the hotel, if prices were reasonable we would have eaten at the hotel as the food looked tempting, but as i said too expensive.

The most prestigious hotel in the area, situated right on the beach, with a very nice lagoon style pool, beautiful landscaping and all the usual features of a top level resort hotel. The rooms are a little dated but quite comfortable and spacious. There are a couple of drawbacks which include the very close proximity to the airport (thus fairly persistent acft noise) and the quality of breakfast was well below par for this level of hotel. Fortunately, there is an abundance of great food options on the main street behind the line of beach hotels. Otherwise, a great experience and we would recommend this place, but not at the full board rate, as there are new smaller hotel developments opening up nearby which may be better value.
