I found your service good with little or no complainst, Your staff were exceedingly friendly which I do not see in other holels with the same star ratings as yours. Breakfast has a good variety to select from. Keep up the good job.

Grand Continental Langkawi
The Grand Continental has changed management I think since I last stayed there but the quality is still there for the price that you pay. It is not expensive and represents very good VFM. However in the evenings the television channels do leave something to be desired as the only channels are the Malay or Chinese channels - no films or Astro (Sattelite) We only had breakfast in the hotel and whilst it was good some of the buffet style dishes were cold - which was much the same as before when I stayed - but there was a good selection available.

food was so so, got some chicken pieces in the mix veg dish. kitchen had limited things to offer.
buffet breakfast was OK
staff was friendly & helpful.
can do with a bit more light in the walkways, although rooms were well lit( as well lit the hotel rooms are.)
there was a big window to let the sunlight in.
although it was sea view room, the view of the sea was just from a side & not exactly breathtaking.
location is in Kuah, quite far from pantai cenang, airport & cable car. but near to jetty.
free wi- fi , although signal not very strong in side the room but still could surf the net on my android.
hotel is going renovation & swimming pool was closed for maintainance.
good value for money but there are better hotels in langakwi

Upon arrival at hotel, I handed over a print out of my booking but staff on duty did not seem to be able to read English. She had to keep asking her colleague for help. We had to wait more than 10 mins while they sorted out a room for us. No explanation or apology was given. They did not give us our breakfast vouchers and we had to ask for them. They replied that they were busy and asked us to come back for them later.
When we got to our room, our requests for a doule bed and non-smoking room was not met, in addition the lock on the main door was broken. We went down again and they were rude when we gave them feedback. They told us they were out of double beds but gave us another room as we refused to stay in one that was not lockable.
In the 2nd room, they were shells of sunflower seeds all over the carpet and the toilet had algae on the walls. The toilet floor was also slimy.
Throughout the stay, staff were not polite and seemed impatient whenever we asked for assistance. Buffet breakfast trays were not replenished promptly.
We will never stay there again!!

Me and my family of total 5...
Me and my family of total 5 members in two rooms stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we got fabulous service from the staff and attention. They were very helpful and generous enough to specially prepare additional breakfast for us since we were vegetarians and could not consume the available breakfast. They also helped us book tours and also assist us to find out more about Langkawi and its specialties. We are very pleased with the service though the hotel rate might be cheaper than others, I guess its the service level and cleanliness maintained in the hotel is very good for Singaporean travelers like us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family and also visit again in future.
