I chose this hotel because being on my own I wanted to be near to the shops and main attractions. I spent 5 days here, 7 away and a final 3 nights here
It would have been nice to have had a porter to help with luggage but I do not believe there were any porters. However the lifts were very speedy.
The Staff were absolutely wonderful and cannot be faulted. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was buffet and plenty of it but the cooked breakfast was not very warm each morning. Still good value for money though
I felt the stairs up to the restaurant were an obstacle for anyone with a disability, although it may be there is access for disabled I am not aware of.
On my first visit the room was not made up for the first two days, but after that it was excellent.
I found the hotel very very noisy (not entirely through any fault of the hotel I hasten to add) due to the windows appearing not to be double glazed, and during my last stay and to a lesser degree my fist stay was spoiled by a bungee ride right opposite on a car park and the yells of the riders was very intrusive late into the evenings. I am amazed Auckland City Council ever allowed this to be sited here.
Maybe I should accept that perhaps I am just an old fogey, but I feel sure that for young people this hotel would be ideal. Were I younger or even with someone to share then I think I might have been more generous with my comments. However, I must stress I had a great holiday thanks for the great staff there
