Excellent value for money
We were very impressed with this hotel. It's proximity to the city and it's features. Great free wifi also. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Great and practical amenities can be found in the 2 bedroom family unit we stayed with clean interior. Andy, the owner of the motel was helpful in guiding us with moving around in Christchurch city. A highly recommended place to stay.

Nice motel in Christchurch
Bealey Avenue Motel is over what we expected to get in Christchurch with the cheap price offered. The room is spacious and clean, with kitchen facility and coffee/tea making facilities. It is located within an easy walking distance to the downtown Christchurch ( a bit pity for us that we couldn't get inside the downtown area due to the earthquake aftermaths). If we go to Christchurch again, we will definately stay at this motel.

Andy the manager was very friendly, and helpful. We had free transfer from the airport. He took time to show us how to get around Christchurch with a map. The room was well equipped, and spacious enough for a family of 4 adults. Very clean and neat. We liked the place.

Excellent rooms clean with all the basic facilities required. Close enough to the city centre to walk. Proprietor was very helpful and offered many tips on our forthcoming adventure around South Island. Good value and would recommend to anyone.

The room was simple but really clean, and bright. Good internet connection in the room. The location is very good. You only have to walk about 10 minutes to reach the city centre and maybe 15-20 minutes to a nice park. At night, it was very quiet. During our stay (24-25 Dec 09), there wasn't much traffic on Bealey road at night. If you decide to have breakfast in your room, that can be arranged. The breakfast is quite comprehensive: cereals, juice, bread, butter, jam, fruit salad, yoghurt and milk. Tea and coffee are already in your room.
The manager (owner?) was very helpful. You just need to give him a call when you land in Christchurch airport and he comes to pick you up. He was very nice and told us about all the nice things to see in the South Island as he used to be a tour guide. He also knows his way around as he used to be a taxi driver too.
