Friendly, welcoming and very accommodating.
A fantastic, friendly and very accommodating host, who picked us up from the train station, took time to drive us around the sites for photo opportunities. Upon arriving at the accommodation, gave us a great cup of tea and freshly cooked chocolate muffins. Kindly gave us another ride into town and even offered to pick us up when we were ready. A very enjoyable stay and really appreciated the welcoming and friendly hospitality shown by Judy and Louis. Recommend to all. Thanks Judy!

We enjoyed the experience of literally...
We enjoyed the experience of literally treating the place like home.. Really madeto feel welcome and the Dog and cats were well behaved and an asset to the overall feeling of a home from home

We had 2 very enjoyable days in Kaikoura. A big thanks to Judy who was very friendly and accommodating.We would definitely recommend Brook House to our friends.

We had the double room upstairs with...
We had the double room upstairs with private bathroom. The room is not big but very comfortable, clean and bright. The bathroom is not inside the room. It is just across the room. The room opens to a balcony where you can sit and look at the mountains. The kitchen is big and fully equipped. Breakfast is nice. Judy is very friendly and she makes you feel at home. Judy works with the whale watch organization. She told us all about the whales and their names and how they recognize them, etc. She also gave us advice and a little brochure on our next destination and recommended us where to stop on the way to see seals and baby seals.
