A great place to stay
We had a very pleasant stay at the Strand . The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you ! Although it takes about 5 mins by trike to dmall it was never a problem getting transport . It was really nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all . If you want peace and quiet but not be too far from the nightlife then this is the place to stay

the best part of my trip
The hotel is superb! Very quiet place, close to the beginning of the white beach. A big square yard with innumerable tropical fruit trees, and a nice pool. The yard was against a hill, go up there you may have a gorgeous view of the beach and sea, The room is quite spacy, clean and comfortable. All rooms are facing the yard.
It was raining when we arrived. We were so starved and decided to grab something to eat in the hotel. But the food was so good than our expectation, and the price was quite reasonalbe comparing to the other restaurants in the D-mall.
The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. Our return flight was 06:50 am, but we were texted the flight had been cancelled, less than 10 hours before departure. Miss Dane, the receptionist, helped us to call the airline and argue for an earlier optional fight, until 11:00 pm that night.
The hotel was one of the best parts of my Boracay trip, the other one is diving, haha~~~ I'd definitely recommand the hotel to my friends.

Great Relaxing Place!
Our stay at the Strand was a great experience. The staff was very accommodating to our needs, especially with transportation to and from Caticlan/Kalibo airports; very hospitable as well. The rooms we booked (the family suite) was very nice and near the pool. The Strand is a short walk from Station One beach, literally 2 minutes. It was also very nice and quiet, perfect for romantic getaway or a family experience. I'd definitely come back and stay here when I come visit Boracay.

We had a great time at the Strand Boracay. We will consider going back, and if so, we will go back to the Strand.
A big thanks to all the staff at the resort who made our stay so nice! They played with our son, taking extraordinary steps to ensure our comfort and assisting us in every way possible. Especially Dane, Hazel, Lyn, Michelle and Michael with whom we had daily direct contact were outstanding. There are also other team members in i.e. the kitchen and the guards, with whom we had only little contact, but they always greeted us with a friendly smile. In our view the biggest asset of making the resort such a memorable experience is the staff that make you feel welcome and at home.
The resort itself is very nice, built 2 minutes walking from the beach, on a slope, and with the owner’s house in the middle. It has a forest feel to it, with lots of large trees, many of them bearing fruit. The swimming pool is very nice, long enough to get some exercise and sunny enough to get a tan.
The staff has a very friendly attitude, without being intrusive. They brought some toys for our son, for him to play with while there and always offered advice on different activities.
Several times every day they went out of their way to make us comfortable with little extras. Just the kind of thing showing that they care. This attitude you don’t find in larger hotels.
The food at the resort is decent and good quality food. Its food with a homey feeling. Portions are adequate and the speed of serving is also ok.
Finally a piece of advice: Fly to Caticlan Airport. Dont fly to Kalibo adds 2.5 hours to the transport time!

Strand is recommended
Stayed at the Strand July 19-22, 2011. Despite being a little out of the way at boat station 1, I found this place to be excellent. I am a fussy traveller and appreciate good service and Strand certainly delivered. Front desk was great, breakfast was superb as were the friendly waitresses. The room was top notch as well with probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in during my many trips to the Philippines. You can walk to D Mall and other places along beach which is lovely, but if you dont like walking you can just take a trike for about 70 pesos. I recommend this place if you like peaceful, tranquil surroundings away from all the hustlers and noise. I would certainly stay here again.

This is an excellent excellent place to stay. It's near the north part of the White Beach, which is nicer than the south part in my opinion. Because the beach is wider and quieter. There is a beautiful pool at the Strand, which is a nice break from the beach when you need it. We stayed at one of their Studios, that has a separate bedroom, living room with two built-in couches where our two young kids slept on, a kitchenette, and a huge balcony that we hung out on a whole lot. It feels like home. The staff is fantastic. They are friendly, helpful and efficient. Although there are tons of choices for dining, we ended up eating in a lot because the food quality is good, and prices are very reasonable. I don't think our holiday would be so perfect if we didn't stay at the Strand. I was really sad to leave after spending 18 days there! And this was the 2nd year that we went back! It was just so easy with our two kids. They liked the pool a lot, when they got tired of the pool, then we walked down to the beach. The beach is flat and stretches out a long way, very safe for the kids. When they were not playing with the sand or water, we went looking for hermitcrabs and other sea creatures around the northern rocky shores. Sometimes, they just wanted to hang out in the comfortable room. We love it, can't imagine spending time in any other hotels if we come back to Boracay. Highly highly recommend the Strand!
