This hotel is recommended to honeymooners as it is quiet, tranquil and far from the mad tourist crowd. All hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. The downside of the hotel is it's accessibility as it is at the tip of the island paradise and is surrounded by locals. Albeit, they provide transport to station 1 where all the actions are located.

love the almost, private hideaway beach
The cute little beach is walking distant from the hotel. It is shared with a few other resorts. But, a few vendors will still come and brothers you at time to time, selling glasses and jewels. Just like the famous Boracay white sand beach. The only good thing is that they are not as aggressive. Other than that, the beach is quite and beautifully.
The hotel service it good, not the greatest. But, I do enjoy the free coffee and water at the lobby area.
The only thing, I did not enjoy is the fact that you have to make a reservation for the shuttle bus to go and back from town. And the hotel did not tell me that would be the case. I waited and waited for the shuttle bus to show up at the DMall, and ended up taking a tri home. The cost for the tri was not that bad, but the way. It cost ed me Php 100.
The breakfast was good. But the seating is not enough at time, and you would have to wait or come back. Since the restaurant is quit small.
This is my 2nd time back to Boracay, and I likes this hotel than the other one I had stayed in before.
By the way, they wants their money as you checks in.

Good place to stay!
Nice environment with friendly staff, definitely recommend this place to stay at if you're into more quietness. A bit away from the main action in the Stations 1, 2, or 3, but the free shuttle service certainly was a plus!

the room was clean and the service reponse was rapid. but since we stayed in the 1st floor and we didn't have balcony, it caused some inconveniences: the room was too humid and nowhere to dry the clothes and no hair dryer, no water heating device. besides, the quality of hotel workers were different. one worker made a deal with the tricycle driver and made me pay 150 peso from the hotel to S3. I checked with other ones and the general price is around 50 to 100. there were also something bizarre. the hotel offered shuttle bus from hotel to D'mall. one worker told me that I should pay 120 peso for one way transport, but another worker told me it was free. in summary, most of the workers were nice, the beach view was wonderful regardless of many corels on the beach.

For me Microtel was perfect, because it is a very nice and quite place compared to white beach. Would stay there again, if I come back to Boracay.
Staff is very friendly and bus shuttle to d mall is frequently.

The place is away from the center, you need to take their shuttle ( that is available to bring you back in the hotel til 0.20) and after that hour, you need to look for a tricycle for your own risk and expense, the beach is not beautiful as what they had in station 2 or 3..if you are in 4 ( parents wid 2 kids ) kids need to pay the breakfast, its stated in my booking that on the day i reserved the room , i willl pay the same price as i arrive in the hotel, instead i pay more than i reserved coz they said, it depends on how is the dollar go on, the shuttle is not always on time as what they stated, but i can say the staff are friendly ..

I was slightly disappointed with the room...
I was slightly disappointed with the room which was OK but not as nice as it looks in the photos air con not great and our room could do with decor/paint refresh (woodchip walls?).. no fridge/minibar
The location is good if you want peace and quiet and they have a nice pool and communal areas and a very nice beach (Diniwid) at the bottom of the patio
There is a shuttle service to the centre of the main white beach resort regularly which is useful as its half hour walk on the beach and a secluded rocky path to come back in the dark after dinner.
Tips for visitors - take a round the island boat trip with snorkelling stops 3-4 hours for only about £20 (thats for the boat not per person). Make sure you check out Poka Beach which is stunning.

The service crew and staff of Microtel...
The service crew and staff of Microtel were very courteous and friendly. They attended to all our requirements without delay and offered to help all the time. The location is far from the buzz and noise of white beach station 1 & 2. In cases where we want to party at Stations 1 or 2, we either walk by the beach shore(long walk) or make use of the free shuttle provided by Microtel. It's also very economical since it's not that expensive for the kind of service and facilities they offer. The beach, shore is also clean and free from floating green stuff that you commonly see in White beach. The rooms, rest rooms, swimming pool are clean and sufficiently furnished with modern looking furnitures. There's free coffee, tea, water & WIFI. I would definitely recommend to this to friends.
