Was OK - nothing great
We stayed in one of the apartments and it was big enough and clean enough - bit dated, needed patching up a few bits. Had a TV in the lounge and one in the bedroom which was nice. The owner was possibly the most miserable person I have met - needs a bit of customer service advice in that respect. Location as described - bit of a walk to the centre of action but right on the beach. Food in the Thai restaurant was nice. Overall OK but probably overpriced for what it was.

Decent prices on a decent hotel room~~
Given that I stayed here with my friend K for about a week, I'd say this was an alright place with a comfortable price that you wouldn't have to worry about. Bed and floors are clean, location is great, the toilets work and there is air conditioning that will keep you satisfied. A cleaning person comes in roughly once a day to sweep up any sand you may trail in from the beach.
However, about a couple days in me and my friend found a cockroach that had crawled up from beneath a broken tile below the bed. Another cockroach appeared a day later. We had to cover up the crack with a magazine and that seemed to take care of it, but still.
Don't expect a view of any kind - windows are covered with metal bars and we kept the curtains closed the whole time. View is of Filipino houses behind the hotels, but this wasn't bad - just not stellar.
Staff were friendly enough. Bar-attender Arthur in the restaurant below is friendly! You do have to ask for more toilet paper when you need it, and also for a lock for the lockbox that is in the room. But these are minor things.

Stayed in one bedroom apartment looking over beach looked ok in pics but much better in reality.management great and staff all helpful and caring.my friend also stayed in a second apt and felt the same .will stay there on return trip.at boat station 3 so quiet but short walk to action.rated excellent

The stay was really good. The manager of the hotel was really nice & accomodating. The service was good & they really maintain the cleanliness of your rooms well. Good for budget travelers. The location is just a little far from the hustle & bustle of night life. I still prefer staying in station 2 if you are into that. Friendly staff & good food. I stayed with my family here & most of the time we were out swimming so it was a great price to pay for such a place! Will be coming back. =)
