Found the hotel very peaceful with beautiful views. Staff were very pleasant except for 1 or 2 who could be a bit more friendlier.The food in the restaurant was very good at a good price, not a lot of variety though.You can get the courteous bus on the hour for free otherwise you have to pay but in the end it didn't add to to much.Only problem is the walk to your room if you are down the bottom, very steep climb (will get you fit). All in all they are very nice apartments and peaceful if you shut the door you don't hear what going on in the other room let alone the other people in the the units above or below you.The pool was great. In the end i would highly recommend to families .

I hv travelled to many places and stayed in many different hotels and I'm very selective when it comes to accommodation. True as it looks, cohiba is undeniable one of the most beautiful villa I've seen though it's lacking of so many things. First of all, the staff over at the frontdesk didn't seem to be very resourceful . Upon check in I was told that they don't hv a record of my booking. I was given the choice of one night stay in a 2 bedrooms villa for me and my gf. What I booked for is one bedroom for 2 nights stay. I even showed her the email for booking confirmation. We ended up having to search for another accomodation with our luggages in tow. We gave up searching because most of the good hotels are fully booked so we decided to take up the 2 bedrooms in cohiba instead. When we got back to cohiba the staff then told us that there was a room actually reserved for me right from the start. I was too tired to argue and decided to put the matter at rest. When we got to our room all we wanted was to quench our thirst but there was nothing to be found. No complimentary welcome drinks or water or whatsoever. There was absolutely nothing in the refrigerator. I had to call at least 5 times for water and it came only an hour later and i had to pay for water. The toilet is huge with a nice jacuzzi but the basic necessities were missing. No shower cap, toothbrush, paste, cotton bud, foam bath. Nonetheless, I'm happy with my stay because the villa is just so beautiful and I feel very relaxed esp when I'm taking a deep in their infinity pool overlooking breathtaking view of the sea. I'll definitely be back. Hopefully the customer service would be better then.

Generally Good But With Regrets
The apartments we had were spacious and well equiped with electronic appliances and foodware. The views from the living room, balcony and around the swimming pool were wonderful.
However, there were some mix-ups regarding my booking, and therefore, we had to pack and unpack our lugguages THREE times during our 6-nights stay there!
For my 5 nights + 1 night booking (as I first booked 5 nights and then one night more both via asiarooms), my group of 5 friends were made to move 2 twice: 3 nights in a 3-bedroom apartment, 2 nights in two 2-bedroom apartments, and 1 last night in another 3-bedroom apartment. The management's explanation was that Asiarooms informed them that I cancelled my first booking of 5 nights, which I never did.
Besides the inconvenience of being made to move 3 times, there are also other downsides with this place:
1) Some furniture looked torn away especially in the first 3-bedroom apartment;
2) The upward walkings to the rooms from the pool or to the entrance from the rooms can be quite exhausting because the rooms and facilities are scattered on a hill cliff.
3) It took 4 days (3 nights) to get our laundry back. But the laundry first sent back was not even ours, and I had to inform the hotel to take it back and search for ours again.
A last travel tip about the food on the island, if you are not a big fan of pork fat and skin, you'd better make it clear before you order any pork dish (including soup).

As a frequent traveller to Boracay, the place has long lost its luster as far as I and my family are concerned... until we discovered the Cohiba. The view is breathtaking. Very romantic and peaceful. The best high end option for kite and windsurfers who want to be near Bulabog beach. To go to white beach, free rides are scheduled 9AM, 12noon, 3PM and 6PM to and from D'Mall. Off schedule trips are at Php100 per leg for a max of 8 pax. It's far from where te nightlife acton is but that's exactly why went there.
