Nice place with Friendly and accomodating staffs!:)
I loved my stay @ Costabella Resort!! Staff's are friendly and very accomodating!! They really met my expectations!! Although the foods were ok wish they have more selections on the breakfast buffet, but other than that I am very satisfied with my stay @ Costabella!:) I wished I would've listen to my husband in the beg. that he wanted to stay Costabella when we first arrived in Mactan on June14, but I have made my reservations with Plantation Bay coz I want to experienced other places, see weve stayed @ Costabella 20yrs. ago and my husband really liked it then I mean they have not changed except for the place have improved and got bigger but the services is still the smae I mean Excellent!! See that's what it supposed to be "consistency". Plantation Bay on the other hand is overpriced some staff are friendly I mean most of the staff's are friendly except for one of their manager named "Malu" i mean she will not try to satisfy your stay there me and my husband had words with this woman!!! Of course when we checked out @ that place (Plantation Bay) another manager had asked me how was our stay so I told her how disaapointed I was!!! And that it was my first time with them (Plantation Bay) but i will never go back!! The place stinks and some areas are dirty and bugs crawling in our room!!!, plus i didn't get the room i originally reserved!! The pictures you see on the websites are not very true coz the place is wearing out fast!!! Costabella on the other hand is worth going back and I mean my last few days in Mactan made it all worth it. I will def. go back to Costabella Resort!!:)

Booked a Standard Room. The Room was in the old Building. Extremly small and way too expensive for that price.
After first night i complained and with a big surcharge i changed to a deluxe room. This one was located in the new building and was quite ok. The roomsize was good a double Kingsize bed, a balcony and a great view on the sea.
The staff were very friendly.
But the management didnt care about the customer complains. Arriving at the maingate with a Trike means you have to walk from the maingate to the lobby. Wanted to talk to a manager in charge was not possible on that day
So my overall recommendation is go to another Hotel.

i only stayed for 1 night going and coming through cebu to other islands.it was ok for one night.i would not stay here for a longer period of time, and really have no other local motels or resorts to compare it to.kenny wilkes, usa

Our stay at Costabella was great from...
Our stay at Costabella was great from the time we were met at the airport until our departure.
The staff were always courteous and attentive, with special thanks due to Chris And Johnel who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We will certainly consider staying at this resort again when we next visit the Philippines. The only slight problem is the resorts remoteness from the town making it a little difficult to eat anywhere but in the resort itself, having said that a free shuttle operates daily to the Mall.
One thing that would also be helpful would be the presence of an atm machine.

i found this hotel to very clean...
i found this hotel to very clean and very good service from the friendly staff,i disliked the lack of any tea/coffee making facilities in the room and also disliked the poor water pressure in the shower and the fact water flowed from the back and side of the shower onto the floor,otherwise it was a nice hotel with a nice beach and swimming area.
overall if i was again visiting the phillipines i would consider staying here again.

Ther location of this resort is very nice. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience staying at the Costabella. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courtious. They all acted very professionally and I would not hesitate to stay here again when traveling to Cebu.
The only draw back is the moss and other vegetation growing in the enclosed beach area, that makes swimming uninviting

We spent a few days in Costabella...
We spent a few days in Costabella and loved it. Our Premium Deluxe room was located in the ‘new’ wing and it was very clean and spacious, and had a view to the sea. Perfect.
The food in the hotel restaurants is good, and decently priced too. One of the restaurants is open 24/7, which is very handy.
We checked out the spa, too, and enjoyed a massage and the royal foot treatment. The service is good, and the spa itself lovely.
Most importantly, the staff at this hotel is amazing. They were always happy to be of service with a smile on their face. We had a few dinners literally on the beach, and they even set the table for us there. Thank you!

This hotel certainly requires a total update except the tall block that has just been renovated. the old block I stayed with my friend was very run down. Everything is so old and everywhere is smelly.
The local of the hotel is indeed a killer. Its situated in a cul-de-sac of a small road outside a shanty village. Getting out of the hotel only relies on taxi which you hav eto order from the hotel and nearly all the taxi drivers rip off passengers in our hotel especially poor koreans who don't speak English. Taxis arrive the hotel with the meter hidden by a cover. We are not sure if this is a conspiracy between the hotel and the taxi operator so even if you specifically order a taxi with meter, you just never get one. The longest time we waited for a taxi was 40 minutes.
The only good thing I would say is that the staff in the hotel was pretty hospitable and passionate. Me and my friend arrived the hotel 3:30am in the morning and they let us check in our rooms at 8am and not the official check in time of 2pm.
