Breakfast
I had stayed earlier in the Hyatt, with my family.
The high point had been the breakfast buffet on the ground floor.
When making a reservation this time I booked a room on the "club" floor as it came highly recommended is one of the comments for it's lounge access.
Once there I personally found the lounge access of limited value.
But more importantly I was told that as a "club' floor customer it was compulsory to take the breakfast there.
I found out in the morning that it was a relatively meager continental breakfast that pales in comparison to the feast on the ground floor.
I protested explaining that i paid more for "club priviledges", and ended up getting less.
After some explanations i was "allowed... for this time...." to have breakfast on the ground floor.
Otherwise this is a very good city hotel in a top location. It has and very friendly and top class personnel.

If you take the stander room they...
If you take the stander room they will but you in old building and it is very fare from the main building (in the back) and the elevator for it don

This is the first time I stayed...
This is the first time I stayed in this hotel in Singapore, just want to try out. The location is very good, just there is a big construction of new shopping mall next door. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with 2 small children by myself and it is good that they don't charge for my younger daughter's breakfasts (they said up to 6 years old). This policy is very good for family travellers.

This is one of the best Hotel...
This is one of the best Hotel that really anticipate the guests needs. We felt being served despite that we are locals. They called and checked with us if the room is ok and even called to checked on our check out timing. They even anticipated our needs by having the right number in room amenities without being asked. This is true service! A highly recommend place for thsoe who wants the comfort and services!

The Grand Hyatt enjoys a fantastic location...
The Grand Hyatt enjoys a fantastic location very close to the new ION shopping centre, just off Orchard Roar. Although there are building works next door during 2009, the rooms are reasonably well insulated. It's a typical business traveller hotel, although when I stayed there there were quite a few families too. The pool area is well hidden away but lovely, although the pool isn't deep enough to do some real swimming (only 1.1m all over). Breakfast is lovely. Rooms are a bit dated in decor but very spacious; yoga mats in the rooms and a dedicated 'yoga channel' on TV were an added benefit for the weary traveller!Service was excellent throughout, very attentive. My only big gripe: GH's policy of charging lots of money for WIFI is quite annoying, I would expect more from this type of hotel at present. All in all I had a really good stay and probably would stay there again if I can get a competitive price for the room.

This hotel is right in the heart...
This hotel is right in the heart of Orchard Road - a whirlwind of high-end shopping and fair-priced dining taking place all the time. Fantastic location but then Meritus Mandarin would have been a much less expensive option where my sister stayed last year and where there's also an MRT station nearby like Hyatt. The facilities were great though some of the furnishings inside needed serious upgrading - some of them had conspicuous permanent stains! It's okay if this is a 4 star hotel but it's not. The poolside was a charm. The gym strength training equipment was very limited though. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here at Grand Hyatt. I stayed in the Grand Hyatt for...
I stayed in the Grand Hyatt for only 1 night but enjoyed it a lot. Weary from the long interconti flight the staff gave me the right level of attention and was friendly throughout - though I travelled visibly as a low budget traveller with a backpack in this business like environment. I spent some hours at the pool and enjoyed it almost exclusively. The food floor is highly recommendable. I had one of the best salads ever and sat in a cosy atmosphere. After almost having finished the salad I found a small chipped plate "piece" at the bottom of the plate - can happen everywhere, but when I pointed it out to the staff they apologized many times and gave me gorgeous chocolates as compensation. I was positively surprised, as I didn't expect anything. Enjoy!

Very good hotel. We stayed in...
Very good hotel. We stayed in the Terrace Wing. Rooms are large (about 400 sq ft) and the bathrooms are great, very large and luxurious. The rooms are well designed and furnished with big wall mounted LCD's, separate work area with desk, etc. Our room rate included daily buffet breakfast at the Straits Kitchen which was awesome - great spread of fresh baked goods, fruit, fresh juices, hot and cold stations, etc. The location is unbeatable - a 2 minute walk to the Orchard Road MRT stop. Along that stretch of Orchard Road, it's wall-to-wall mall-to-mall, so tons of shopping and eating options on both sides of the road. There is a very nice landscaped pool and spa and workout center, all located on the 5th floor. Overall a very good stay and we would definitely consider staying there again. We got a very good rate through Asia Rooms; however, the rate was still a bit more expensive than other hotels along Orchard Road.
