this is the first time for me...
this is the first time for me to stay within the marina area and found it to be very convenient to most of my needs. city hall mrt, which practically puts you right in the middle of a shopping frenzy as it connects you to a number of shopping centers (suntec, raffles city, marina square and esplanade), is very near. while other places of interest like boat/clark quay and chinatown areas can easily be reached if you enjoy walking. access to orchard rd. and sentosa via the sprawling vivo city is no problem once you get to know your way around using the mrt. my stay at the grand plaza park royal certainly provided some pleasant surprises for me... and surely would have been made better if complimentary bottled water for guests be included to an already superb hotel facility/service.

I have been to Singapore some 15...
I have been to Singapore some 15 times over the past 20 years, and have enjoyed staying and comparing many different hotels. This is the second time in the last 6 months that we've stayed at the Grand Plaza, and it was terrific. Many thanks to Elizabeth on Reception and Zak from Dining who created such a wonderful birthday experience for me! Yes, the rooms are small and look rather tired and could definitely do with a makeover, but in terms of excellent service, dedication to detail, friendly staff and location, the Grand Plaza is a winner.

Nice hotel close to MRT, Raffles City...
Nice hotel close to MRT, Raffles City and a short walk to Boat Quay. Room was very nice and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

Well situated for sightseeing and shopping. Room...
Well situated for sightseeing and shopping. Room was adequate. We made good use of the pool after hot tiring days sightseeing. Helpful friendly staff.

Great hotel. Excellent lobby/bar area, amazing spa and nice rooms. Sometimes a bit of a wait to check-in but otherwise service is excellent. Location is also really good.

My wife and I have stayed at...
My wife and I have stayed at the Grand Plaza 3 times now and it has improved noticeably! The service was impeccable from the Doorman to Room Service- helpful and polite. Excellent breakfast, great location, comfortable rooms, excellent value-we will return!

We experienced first rate customer service from the moment we arrived at the front desk. Concierge was very helpful. All staff on duty were attentive and friendly. An excellent hotel to relax and enjoy pleasant surroundings. Will certainly stay again in the Grand Plaza Parkroyal hotel.
