Not For Families & Children
The hotel is what you would expect from your typical 5-star hotel chains -- service staff are very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and complete with your usual amenities. The only real problem is the location -- it is next to Orchard Towers which, while perfectly respectable in the day, is practically a red-light district at night. Just to walk out onto Orchard Road from the hotel, one would have to go past the various bars and ladies of the night... unless you're into that, you might want to think twice (particularly for those with families and children). While the problem has nothing to do with the hotel itself, you nevertheless wonder if the management of Pan Pacific really thought it wise to set up operations here. Is this the sort of clientiele they want?

Best place to stay,close to shoping,food and...
Best place to stay,close to shoping,food and fun. People with children,should be very careful in the eveaning time,going to orchard road, u will come across Woman,beers bars, sex shops,and more woman of the night.but the place is 's a f e'. Thats what fun is all about.

The hotel is very nice, staff is...
The hotel is very nice, staff is attentive, but the room was very small and too expensive for its size, the shower had mold in between all tiles, not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel in Singapore. But of course everything in Singapore is expensive

The hotel was easy to find and...
The hotel was easy to find and so close to everything on orchard Road. The service staff seemed genuinely happy to see me. They did whatever I requested with cheerfulness. I actually really enjoyed my stay despite only being in Singapore for a dental appointment. I was to be given a smoking room but I mentioned that I did not smoke. Despite the hotel being very full the lovely receptionist found me a beautiful room. I really appreciated the warmth of her personality. She was so lovely to me even the next morning remembering my name. I will be back with my family next visit and I am already looing forward to it.

Although our floor was still being renovated...
Although our floor was still being renovated at the time of our stay, there was no unnecessary noise. Good value for the money.

THE PAN PACIFIC ORCHARD HAS BEEN OUR COMPANY'S PREFERED BUSINESS HOTEL EVER SINCE IT OPENED UP AS THE MERITUS NEGARA. AS AN EX SINGAPORE RESIDENT NOW LIVING IN kL I HAVE BEEN A REGULAR GUEST IN THE HOTEL FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. HOWEVER DURING MY LAST STAY ON FEB10-12 2008 WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH OUR ROOM AIRCON, NO MATTER HOW WE ADJUSTED IT, THE TEMPERATURE STAYED AT 16DEGREES C. OTHER THAN THAT WE HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. THE ROOMS ARE OF AN ADEQUATE SIZE, THE STAFF IS EFFICIENT AND LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IS IDEAL.

I very much enjoyed my stay at...
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Negara On Claymore during my Business trip to Singapore. The location of the hotel is great and the entire staff were at all times very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent.

We stayed here for 4 nights -...
We stayed here for 4 nights - Christmas Holiday! The location is excellent, just 3 minutes walk to Orchard Road. We got a Business Suite, price was expensive but understandable of peak period. Room is large especially the bathroom. The living room is cozy and comfortable. Staff and their services were good. However there were bit noisy of the upgrading work done. We enjoyed very much of its Pacific Club Breakfast, we ordered different breakfast everyday - japanese, chinese, indian, malay, continental. We had cocktail from 6 - 7:30pm, very delighted place to stay. But the room cleanliness was much doubt. Generally, I would say this is a nice hotel in Singapore!!

They were not have our room ready,...
They were not have our room ready, even when we arrived 4 hours after check-in. They did not give us what we asked for, and they called me at 11:00 pm the next day to offer me a new room, just few hours before our check out time, which they knew it would be around 5:00 am the next day.
