My wife and I stay at the Rendezvous Hotel Singapore as our first preference, it is an excellent hotel, close to all facilities most of which are a short walk away. The staff have always been helpful and polite, the recent renovations have lightened up the hotel and by the patronage we saw is still a very popular hotel for people in all age groups and nationalities.
We have stayed in the Rendezvous hotels in Adelaide and Melbourne, both of which are great hotels but Singapore shines above.

Great room and good location
The room is very cosy but the mattress was abit hard. Like the bathroom though. Location of the hotel is ok, less than 10 mins walk to the nearest MRT Dhoby Ghaut and around 15 mins walk to Plaza Singapura.
Reception staff service is quite good too. Only stayed for 2 nights so did not get to enjoy the hotel facilities or other services. Will stay again in my next trip.

Nice and clean
The hotel was nice and clean, location is not that bad but it not really in the main city area. Best to catch the MRT from Dhoby Ghaut, walking distance of 5mins. To catch the taxi it cost SG $4 - $8 to most of the area but depends on the traffic time. It hard to get the Taxi from the lobby area, you need to inform the reception 1st before you leave. Water bottles aren't cheap at the hotel (it cost SG $5/bottle) and latte cost nearly SG $10 so just check before, due to that experience on the 1st day we never end up eating at the hotel!!!. Overall, it not a bad hotel but due to the high prices I will not stay again.

Very good hotel, excellent room and good location. Just a pity they're going through a big refurbishment until July 2011 so the lobby was one square metre and no swimming pool!! Very dissapointed we didn't know about the refubirshment because we would stay at another hotel. Breakfast very expensive at 38 singapore dolars so we had a breakfast opposite the hotel for one fifth of that price. Good hotel but with the wide selection available in Singapore I wouldn't stay here again. Having said that, I would recommend this hotel for a first time visit (after July 2011)

Rendezvous Hotel
Room was reasonably clean. Requested for a double bed in my booking but was given a twin bed instead. Would have appreciated if I was informed at time of booking that no double bed room was available. Location was good as it was close to 2 MRT stations and walking distance to Orchard Road.

Nice hotel at a very central location....
Nice hotel at a very central location. Once we did the upgrade to a club room, breakfast & internet was included and definetly worth it. Rooms tend to be small, the club rooms had all sorts of extras which were more important than sheer room size. Gym was nice, pool a bit small but then, this hotel you would not choose to hang out at the pool.

Rendezvous Hotel is conveniently located near Dhoby...
Rendezvous Hotel is conveniently located near Dhoby Ghaut MTR station, my daughter and I enjoyed a nice shopping tour by taking only few minutes' metro from Dhoby Ghaut to Orchard Road MRT station. This is especially good for us after long walk, for we will need to queue at the taxi stand when metro is not available near our hotel. Other factor is also important for us, for a good start of the day by having nice buffet breakfast included in the hotel package...as a budgeted traveller, I will absolutely stay again in Rendezvous Hotel in next trip to Singapore.

During our journey in Malaysia & Brunei...
During our journey in Malaysia & Brunei in all hotels, there were a free service of 2 bottles of drinking water per room & day.
As your price is comparable to all other hotels we stayed, we would have expected that service. Little costs for you but a fine comfort for your guests.
