Extended the stay
Found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything needed for my stay. Close to all shops and stations. Great locally made food and the local people were excited to be able to offer their services. Well worth the money and would stay here again

Nice : )
We were pleasantly surprised by the sheer size of the room, the cleanliness and newness of the amenities provided. Hotel is very accessible and the staff spoke a good standard of English which was another pleasant surprise. Excellent service and good value for money.

The staff was very friendly even though they spoke minimal English. They really tried. The room was very nice and tidy... probably one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in and one of the cheapest as wells. The mattress is a bit hard for North American standards, but pretty normal for Korea. The food was okay, but considering it was a free breakfast, I'm not complaining that it wasn't a gourmet meal. They offer a "European Style Breakfast" between 7 and 9 that consists of toast, scrambled eggs and cocktail weiners (sausage). It filled me up and tasted good. The hotel is about a block walk from a subway exit (the subway station is connected to an underground mall and the exits are a little confusing, but once you figure out which one you need to leave from, it is good) so it's very convenient for getting around. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Very helpful
Great value for money. Struggled to find it and we had a few taxi drivers that did not know where the hotel was. But we got there! Great value for money and a good to use as a base to explore Daejeon. Did not do the breakfast thing as I read on Asiarooms that quite few people said it was not the best. However, a short walk get's you to all the restaurants(Western and Korean).

Good value, good location
I spent a week at the Daelim hotel this summer. I booked a suite as the price was reasonable and sometimes rooms are very small in Korean hotels. But the suite turned out to be rather large, despite its reasonable price (about $80 per night).
The location is excellent, with a subway station and a taxi stand nearby. At about 5 minutes walk, across the main street, there is a neighborhood with nice restaurants/coffee shops/bars.
I was just a bit disappointed by the facts that the room was a bit dark (only one window), and the air conditioning switched off in the middle of the night (you could switch it on again, but still).

Nice
Nice room. Says they're a tourist hotel, but seems reminiscent of a "Love" Motel, just not rented out multiple times/night I guess? Room was clean and nice. The bed, like all Korean hotel beds that I've experienced, was as hard as a rock, so be prepared. Hard to find in a car. I recommend this hotel if you took a train!

Not bad for a weekend away!
We used the Hotel merely as a base for walking around Daejeon for the weekend as it is close to the ktx station and the shops/restaurants in that area. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly - always smiling and polite. We did not try the European breakfast which was available as we didn't rise out of bed until after 9am but with bakeries and coffee shops in abundance it was easy to get something cheap to eat. I would stay here again if I was able to get the same deal that I found here on Asiarooms.

Not your ordinary
Excellent modern hotel with all the usual amenities; large spacious rooms. Caution: if arriving by taxi, bring clear address and instructions; our taxi driver got us close then gave up and it took 30 minutes of wandering and asking to find the hotel (surprising because it is a big modern building).

Nice clean room; poor breakfast
Booked a twin room and set my expectations according to the photos shown on the website. Instead of a narrow room, we got a room with a double bed and single bed size. The room is very clean. I liked the flooring and the size of the room was more than enough for myself and my mom.
However, I did not like that the electric sockets were nowhere to be found... Well, I found one stuck at the back of the corner table and even if I had the correct electric plug, it was still unusable. I could not recharge my camera!
The breakfast was the poorest I've had... well, just plain bread and butter and jam. Plus salad. And scrambled eggs.
And coffee and juice. That was everything. Well, just had to eat outside for decent meals.
Despite the shortcomings, I believe this is one of the cleanest and largest rooms I've rented for a reasonable price. Better than the Hotel Benhur in Seoul.

Peculiar tourist hotel in a back street...
Peculiar tourist hotel in a back street off the main commercial street in Daejeon. The rooms are well appointed, have a huge flat screen TV and even a PC. Both of my windows were broken and one you couldn't even open, but you could freshen up the room with the air conditioning. Breakfast is quite poor, but its free. Maybe business travelers would be disappointed with the room decoration, but it is not a love hotel, it's somewhat better. Would repeat anyways as it is excellent price-qaulity overall, and well located, near underground station shops, & many bus stops.
