counter receptionist is ok. Perhaps this hotel need to pay attention or modify for the following:
1. bathroom as the toilet flushing is half spoiled and water tap also leaking.
2. Air conditioner is very noise.

Although the location of the hotel is kind of in a place where foreigners might find it inconvenient to travel around taichung, the overall service of the hotel was fine. The staffs were friendly and helpful. There are eateries available just within walking distances and the hotel is just beside a park. Taking a stroll at the park after dinner would be relaxing.

This hotel will be suitable for many and was fine for me, I certainly saved a few dollars. Taiwan can be confusing and you will need to get there by taxi as the sign outside says "Good Ground Hotel" while I was looking for "Marshal". Outside is a bit run down but reception is OK and the room was large and comfortable, air conditioned, although old decor. Some English TV programs. Limited english at reception but I found them very willing to help and friendly if similar approach taken. People generally treat you how you treat them. Good free internet in breakfast room. Breakfast included, but basic.

we won't stay here again... it was cheap but i think you could find better value. this hotel was very old and has a very creepy atmosphere. perfect set for a horror movie not a holiday. first night was ok a few bumps in the night, but expected from an old building. scary thing was door rattling once and what sounded like footsteps in our room. investigated and found nothing there. in morning, two long black hairs were found hanging from the airvent in the roof (8ft aboveground). it was very creepy and we were glad to leave.

Hi!
I feel this hotel is nice to stay and the staff is polite too but i have few comments on it.
1) The location of the hotel is good, near to town and railway station as well. But i dont feel comfortable when walking back at night within the vicinity of the hotel. Its dark and have drunken people around.
2) The hotel should make a partition for cafe.
3) Frankly speaking the price is not suitable for budget travellers.
I hope my comments could make your hotel improved and let everyone stay there comfortably with satisfaction.

a bit misleading for the chinese hotel name.
staff was very helpful when asking for way.
room suprising was big for the kind of pricing paid for.
if you know the way from railway station to hotel, is just ten mins walk else jus take a cab and cost less than NT $100.

It is near the Train & Bus Station. Lot of food near by and walking distance to a nice Night Market. The rooms are big.

Reception staff was not helpful and rude, and refused to communicate in English. Room is very run-down, the air-con don't work, floor carpet dirty and toilet furnishing also needs replacing (there was no shower curtain and water tap don't work quite right). In the mid-afternoon, there is no hot-water for a few hours including baths. When asking for directions, they were not helpful and obliging at all. Please take-off this hotel as it is not even a 3-star hotel by any international standards in terms of service, room standard and comfort as well as lack of facilities.
