Atrocious attitude from the Night Manager
I was rudely shocked by the service and attitude provided by the Night Manager (Mr. Montre K) when I went back to the hotel at 1am on 27-May-2011. As usual, I would go to the reception to request for my room key (since I had placed it in the keydrop whenever I left the hotel). To my surprise, the Night Manager told me that my room key is not at the reception. I immediately told him to check again as I was extremely sure that I left it at the reception, he did a very sloppy re-check and told me that it was not at the reception. He even questioned me, asking me why I was so sure I left it at the reception, his tone was extremely cocky and arrogant and I found that very rude and ridiculous to question a hotel guest in this manner. He rebutted me by saying that the guests 'always does this' and that I am just another one of them. He then got me to sign a form to request the hotel to unlock my room and arrogantly informed me that I had to pay 500baht for a lost room key.
After the hotel staff unlocked my room, I did another check in my room hoping to find the 'lost' key but to no avail. I was really puzzled at this point of my time, if my key was not at the reception, not in my room and not with me, where could it be? Hence, I decided to go down to the reception again to clarify the matter and requested for them to check the security cameras to prove that I did drop the room key into the keydrop. Low and behold, when I was approaching the reception, a hotel staff at the reception held up my room key. I was extremely furious and I called for the Night Manager to come out. He told me that my room key was actually in a wrong box (an error made by the hotel), that was why they could not find my key initially.
I was extremely frustrated and furious with the 'ordeal' that I had to go through after a long and tired night out. Not only did the Night Manager made a mistake and wrongly accused me, his attitude towards me was downright atrocious.
This hotel, not recommended!
