i loved this hotel, it was in the best location and it was so nice and clean. i will definately stay here again! the pool is big and really nice and the rooms are well decorated and clean (they get cleaned everyday).

Great rooms very clean and comfortable we had a deluxe at the back of the hotel very quiet. Breakfast ok. Staff friendly and helpfull. Great location if you want to be close to everything about 15 mins walk to the river excellent to get about to see everything without sitting in traffic, also very cheap. Right next to Kosan Road lots of shops restaurants and bars. Close to Temples The Palace ect.

Great location and clean and adequate hotel. Disappointed by service a little due to breakfast only being avilable until 9.30am and also mini bar issue. That is, the hotel will not allow you to drink/eat items and replace them as they put their own price tags on items. This would not be a problem if they alerted you to this before checkout. We had already replaced items and then had to pay again at lobby desk.

The Viengtai hotel is in a very good location. Good area, and pretty good atmosphere.
Lot of opportunities for food times. Near the temples zone, you can go there by taxi, touc-touc or boat for a good price.
Hotel and rooms cleanliness are Ok. I didn't try the swimming pool.
To sum-up, you should not regret choosing this one, especially if you make like me a quick stay in Bangkok (avoiding wasted time in transport) .

good room, great location near kao san road. perfect cleanliness. the deluxe room was spacious and had a high standard bathroom. very warm and strong shower :-)
but very poor reception service, both at check-in and check-out :-(
at checkin we had to wait 20min to get our room because they "had to check with reservations" wheter our asiarooms voucher was valid or not. in the end we only got a double room with two single beds, after they gave away the one with a double bed to another customer that was complaining in front of our eyes while we were waiting. they let us wait and served everybody else just arriving, let's just say we were "not amused" :-(
at checkout early in the morning (because our flight was leaving way early) it took them 15min! for checkout because they call housekeeping to check the room for "missing towels" and such. c'mon, they know our credit card and we never had to wait that long in any other hotel anywhere...
overall, worst customer service of the whole (awesome) thailand trip. and surprisingly not where you would expect this kind of problem...

The Viengtai hotel was perfect for our three night stay in Bangkok. The room was basic but was a good size and clean. The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance to all the major sights in the old side of the city and right beside a lot of restaurants and places for a good night out.
