We've been there second time, nice hotel, good location, very helpful staff. But second time breakfast wasn't so good like couple month before. We'd like to come back cos we r living in Thailand and come to BKK quiet ofter but hope that the hotel will do some improvement.
The hotel suited my needs. I arrived late and checked out early and as I am a frequent traveller to Bangkok I did not utilise any of the hotel's services. The room was great and I slept well.
I was impressed with the rooms. Clean and comfy. A nice boutique style hotel. The only disappointment was with the dining staff. Both mornings I arrived to the dining area to be ignored by the young girls who were playing games on their mobile phones. Both days the food was cold and had to be placed in the microwave for heating before being edible. I even had to translate into Thai for a Vietnamese guest her wishes for reheating the food.
I would stay there again, but I would never pay the extra 150 baht for the breakfast. I'll just pay for the room and go to the hotel across the street to eat my meals.
We only stay there for two nights mainly to visit my relatives who lived nearby.Room are small but clean, very good value for money,we will stay there again and will recommend for those who are not looking for something special.
Salil is a wonderful hotel to stay at when you're in Bangkok. It is slightly away from the hustle & bustle of the City area but we love chilling out in the hotel after a long day's walk! The hotel staff are also real friendly & nice.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Small hotel situated in a quiet side street. Room was clean and perfectly good enough for us. Breakfast had plenty of choices with fresh eggs etc cooked at your request - lovely helpful girls.
Golf buggy provided free to take you down the narrow street to the main road. Close to the sky train and many dining areas ie Little India.
Room had TV but also had a dvd player with lots of dvd's to borrow - great idea.
I really liked this hotel. Very helpful staff, very clean and it felt safe. Room well appointed, well maintained and the kettle, fridge, flat screen TV etc were a great addition for me. A couple of drawbacks - first the length of Soi 8. However the golf cart was great and we always walked back and I only mention it as I had not appreciated how long it was. Second, the room we had was nothing like those on the website as regards size but certainly room enough for a couple of nights.
I would stay again again and indeed recommend Salil as a great budget option in Bangkok.
